Darling, I just realised that I haven’t updated you on my progress since we first met... I’m looking a lot better since I was hit down by a deadly killer disease last summer. Nasty little thing that was once it got a hold of me. They said there was no hope, but what do they know?

I’m recuperating at home by drinking a lot of beer and wine, playing internet games and generally being a couch potato, I’ve only put on about 40lbs.

They said I should up my intake of fresh fruit, vegetables and exercise, but if I took their word for everything, I would have been dead already, at least three times by now.

I just can’t wait until I’m fully over it, so I can go away somewhere, somewhere exciting with you perhaps. I know you stood me up the last time, but not to worry, all is forgiven.

I’ve still been able to pick myself up some days and go out on a few dates with strange men. Not all of them showed up either, and the one who did, looked nothing like I was expecting. All he wanted to do was go fishing which wasn’t even on his profile. I did have a nice time though, but he didn’t want to see me again.

Still, I am keeping my chin up, I’ve joined lots of singles sites and am getting plenty of attention from more strange men than I can cope with. I plan to be choosy and picky this time, take my time over things, waiting for ‘The One.’

Strangely enough he got in contact with me just last night. He’s a young bachelor, 59 yrs old, lives with his mother, never been married, he only lives about three thousand miles away, but I just know he’s for me. Distance is no object where true love is concerned. He hasn’t even uploaded his photographs yet, but I could tell by his voice on the telephone, I just knew it.

I went to the bridal store this afternoon for my first fitting, they said they can alter one of the dresses I already have, to save me money this time.

So life is treating me well and I’m in love again, only this time it’s for real.

P.S. I think I should warn you, look out for the crazies, there are a lot of them about, so be careful with your dating Darling.

I just met the love of my life too. She lives in the basement in her mom's house. Has never been married and never had a job...my kinda gal cuz I've never worked too...always survived on the kindness of strangers and of course the welfare system. Soon we will both be eligible for social security as we are nearing the age of sixtyfive. She shares my interest in Kraft Dinner and also is obsessed with the Jerry Springer program and the Steve Wilco show. Wow ...looks like we both hit the jackpot ....I wish you the very best in you new found love...Yours truly ...Professor Pan.T.Borty...

Distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Distance is just there over yonder.
