Buttered Popcorn

There are things that smell so damned good you can’t resist trying them. Fresh baked bread is one of them. Fresh baked bread never tastes as good as it smells, though. Popcorn is different. It tastes BETTER than it smells and it smells gooood. Put some butter on it and it’s just a scosch short of heaven. Have it at the movies and it’s better yet. It’s like hot dogs at the ball park, or taffy rolls in your Halloween candy bag. Some things just fulfill their promise.

I’ve been hanging around MD for a year or so. I’ve made a few friends and become a fan of a few bloggers but the full monty just hasn’t shown up. Yeah, I’ve been interested in several women here but distance was great and opportunity lacking, or the timing was wrong. I pretty much gave up and decided to just enjoy the blogs and forums and just damn well relax. So I did. But like trying to get pregnant, when you try too hard it doesn’t happen. So you relax and all of a sudden you got twins. OK, don’t get excited, I don’t have twins but I might have something.

I met someone a while back and took a road trip to visit. We spent the day at a state fair and I decided she was someone I’d like to see again. The second meeting was ………..well, it was a hotdog at the ball park. It was taffy rolls. And it was buttered popcorn at the movies.

And that’s pretty damned good.
