It's true....I really did....and it was sooooo romantic....

I met my date for the evening in the living room....me in a simple black dress with white trim, heels and simple jewelry....he in a black dress shirt, casual pants and smelling sooooo good. My date was tall, dark haired, and very very very handsome.

First we stopped for dinner.... ....NC bbq, fried chicken, slaw, potatoes and sweet tea....mmmmmmmmm so good.

The next part of our adventure took us to Norfolk, Virginia and some shopping....he even let me loose in Victoria's Secret (alone) with his credit card....

On our way back we stopped at a favorite club for a drink and some flirting.... After all this time we do still flirt with one another and have fun turning an otherwise everyday shopping trip into a date.

And you know what the love of my life told me on the way home....he said I was the most beautiful woman he had seen all night.... I know he was the handsomest man I saw all night and the only one for me....for ever, for always.
