MatchDoctor is a diverse community of souls, each sporting a unique perspective on a wide variety of issues. A lot of emphasis is placed on debate and the various divergences of opinions, but truth be told, it is a mirror reflection of America and Democracy as a whole.
True, there is a fair amount of hatefulness and backbiting, but that is to be expected in any wide open, and unfettered venue. After all, in a domain where most folks are taking benefit of an unpaid service, you can't be too picky about your company. I always find it amusing, for instance, that my message to another user is sponsered by a rival paid service, such as E Harmony. This implies that MD is somewhat ineffective at the whole dating/hook up game, but still succeeds by allowing the opposition to pay the rent, confident that we are too cheap or lazy to actually use another site. Genius!
But I digress.... My point is, that even on bad day, MatchDoctor is still a community. We may be passionate about different things. People are. But we still come together and spend, (albeit too much), energy on speaking our minds, entertaining each other, and stimulating each the others thinking and living processes.
Whether it's the nihilist darkness of a certain unnamed vampire, or the saccharine sweetness of some of our ladies, we all have one thing in common....we probably aint got a date. What we do have is a place to go and strut our stuff, without having to get dressed up or even change underwear. And that, my friend, is no small thing.
So thumb your nose at me for saying absolutely nothing here, but acknowledge the fact that we all come back day after day to this place because we love it here. We love to disagree, laugh and cry, piss and moan, and tolerate each others trash talkin', moon walkin', and date stalkin' ways.
Feel the love MD'ers! I wouldn't have ya over for dinner, or even let you into my complex, but you are welcome on my PC anytime!
So put a little love in your heart, you sons and daughters of a preacher man, and admit that what the world needs now is love sweet love. I only wanna be with you and I'm wishin' and hopin' you'll stay a while. You don't have to say you love me...what's it gonna be?
