me: "God, I'm lost.....how do I get back on the road I was on?"
God: "Your not lost child, your exactly where I put you."
me: "huh???no...no....I was on that road....the highway....going fast...remember? This isn't my road, this one is bumpy..."
God: "Yes, Stefanie, I know exactly what road you were on, and what road you are on now...I put you there...remember?"
me: "But I was on THAT road....look..I just need to know what to do to get back over THERE..."
God: "Your not ready to be on that road right now, you have a ways to go on this road first...I have chosen this route for you."
me: "Oh no....this must be a mistake... THAT road is the one I want to be on....surely You don't want me on this road...I'll get all dusty and banged up."
God: raised eyebrow...."Are you too good for this road Stefanie? Are you questioning the path I have chosen for you?"
me: (humbled and ashamed) "Of course not Lord...."
me: "so...I'm not lost? Because you know....I really liked the road I was on...I worked so hard to get on that road...and I was doing great Lord!!!!"
God: "Yes, you did work hard, and you were doing well....but you are forgetting....I put you there.....it is My will.....not yours....it is My road for you....it is through Me that you are achieving.....without Me, you could not be on that road."
me: "Have I forgotten Lord?"
God: "You sure have been acting like it."
