On the famous musician birthday list is Beatles singer & guitarist John Lennon, born in 1940 and died at the age of 40 from a murderer's bullets, would have been 68 years old today and John Entwistle, bassist for the band The Who, born 1944, died at the age of 57 from cocaine related heart failure, would have celebrated his 64th birthday.
I remember you both for your contributions to the music world, but I'm sad of your passing.

JOhn Lennon was certainly a great musician, I saw the Film the Beatles story. Its a brilliant film and the actors were chosen so well, they actually looked like them.

I liked both of them and have two of Entwhistle's albums on reel to reel. "Rigor Mortis Sets in," is my favorite. Songs include, Do the Dangle, Peg Leg Peggy, Made in Japan and Roller Skate Kate. Yep, it's a comedy album and I still listen to it.
Thanks for the memories.

I had the privilege of seeing John Entwistle along with the Who at the old JFK stadium in Philadelphia, PA back in 1982. It was during "The Last Who-Rah" tour, which was allegedly the bands final tour. It was quite an event, Phil Collins sat in for the Who's drummer Keith Moon who died of a drug overdose in 1978. The show will always be one of the fond memories of my youth.
