CA has 55 electoral votes and will vote Obama. Yeah, we vote Dem!
Lets see, McCain looks to win 55 electoral votes from, ID4, WY3, SD3, NE5, KS6, UT5, OK7, AK3, KY8 and TN11.....that is 55.
OK, call that a wash.....1 state cancels out 10.

McCain is/was projected to win AZ10, TX34, MS6, AL9 and SC8....That sure looks good on the map, red all over the place, like Palin stating she governs a really large state, but count the people, the electoral college, Obama's got a hold of the race!

Do you get it America? We believe in this man because he is there for us, for all of us. If you don't vote for him you will still be thankful he was elected.
Please don't get angry at those words, this is the United States of America, we must unite. Change takes time, but it will happen. We will all be proud to be led by this man who is for us, for the people.

Sorry, I left the Electoral map out of here but here is one. This is not the one I got my #s from but they should be the same or very close. It changes as the polls change. It will be changing some after the debate.'

Rumors Part 2
Man behind the whispers about Obama----Rumors running wild! Part 1
McCain says he will 'whip' Obama's 'you know what'. Is this the talk you want?
Republicans are starting to see they have been lied to.

Erm...if that's the case, why do we have a Republican governor? According to this graph (pictured below) we're mostly a registered Republican state now...I'm not saying your data is wrong...right now Obama is indeed leading in this state. I'm just saying that per the registrar data, we're more red than blue in Cali.

Now, mind you, I'm not tryin to start anything...just sayin Not all Californian's are voting for Obama.

Personally, I don't trust the man. JMHO...don't shoot the messenger.

This election has been more polarized and negative than any I remember---I first voted in '68, but was involved at a grassroots level long before that. (my favorite banner....Goldwater in '64, Cold water in '65, No water in '66) There were always questions and assertions that were in doubt; party lines; and there was a frenzy at rallies (think Tupperware party ladies singing....lol) that was uplifting and inspiring. But, I don't recall the venom and lies and posturing ever being this divisive; it will be difficult to heal. We seem to have lost respect for one another, and in the process respect for what our country can be and do when it comes together.

I hope we can unite after election day and live up to our name---United States of America. Else maybe we should reread 'Ecotopia'----it's fiction, but??????

Sorry EF for me posting without all the data. Just a quick check shows: Republicans have not taken California's electoral votes since George H.W. Bush's victory in 1988 against Michael Dukakis.
I will get some more info on it.
You and I live in northern CA, where it is much more liberal then southern CA, Los Angeles, San Diego etc. But as far as Presidential voting, they still lean left.
Thank you for your respectable tone, it is much appreciated The world is in a mess, the U.S. is in a mess and as you well know, California is in a mess. I hope we can all stand together when this bitter election is done, I long for it to be over

Erm...if that's the case, why do we have a Republican governor?

New York is kind a politically weird that wya. Mainly, I guess largely because of the upstate/downstate dichotomy (for those of you who know, "downstate," for these purposes, is basically the tiny dot at the bottom that holds half the state population, "upstate" is the rest of it). Each claims the other is sucking more than its fair share of federal funds, blahblahblah, and the pols play them against one another very well.

So, we have Democrat senators, mostly Democrat local officials (NYC, that is), and meanwhile Republican governors and mayors. As Morgan Freeman said, Allah loves great variety.
