Mogen David is a very popular wine. It seems to have two main groups of fans.

1 People who like a sweet drink before/during/after/well after dinner. This group includes salmon deprived diners.

2 People who live under bridges. Yes, it is true. The MD in MD20/20, sometimes called "Mad Dog" wine, stands for Mogen David. Look under any bridge in an urban area and you will find lots of empty mad dog bottles. Many in this group got here by excessive dwelling on salmon deprivation.

One song I know makes reference to "Mad Dog Margueritas in the Chili Parlour Bar". I have yet to try this delight, but it sounds tempting. In truth I am just too cheap to risk the four bucks on something I might not like, or might like so much it would be added to my long list of excesses.

Is there a gentle MD member who can enlighten us on this point? Perhaps two recent bloggers could be so kind as to experiment with this, and inform the rest of us on its palatability. It might even take their minds off of lost salmon and roasted dog meat.

Thank you for reading my deranged blog.

You missed the number one customer of Mogen David Wine - Jews.

It is THE kosher wine of choice for the Kiddish prayer that sanctifies the Jewish Sabbath and other holidays.

That it picked up a following of the under the bridge crowd was either dumb luck or good marketing.

Haha, thanks lol, I didn't realize bringing up this would cause a federal case. However, tapping into other markets is common with Muslims if they can sell to "People of the Book". I still know they don't like dogs in their homes and I asked a friend of mine again recently who is a Muslim just yesterday to confirm. Even though some like others have said, do not go along with their faith, it doesn't change a thing, and really who cares? They don't eat pork either, where are the pig lovers out there giving Etowah a hard time? haha. Again, it's not unheard of for Muslims to buy and sell or tap into markets and sell to others things they themselves would not purchase for their own home, it's based on money, after all "People of the Book" won't go to Heaven anyways, so who cares if they sin? This is my last comment on the subject sorry it brought up such a stir, and thanks Vinny for bringing up they don't want them in their cabs either. tc Lost

Thank you for calling me 'gentle'..
I am also kind, compassionate, caring, thrifty, and love my mother.

But I digress..
(Jj is still a bit sensitive about that damned salmon.)

My wine adventures go back a very long time.

My mother, who had become an apostate of a prior religous affiliation, made me become a gentile.
I went from kosher to living under a bridge.
(Thus the lack of training for my companion..the dog that is..)

Such is God's wrath.

I am fond of Mogen David.
I especially like grape.

I like the round bottles as when empty I can make candle holders for my shelter under the bridge.

In regard to the salmon..
