A few blogs down someone wrote about 'Children Never Forgotten'. Made me want to share the poem that my Mom & I have been reading for the last 18 yrs since the death of my 1st son. I do not know where we got the poem or who wrote it, but it is tradition for us to read & makes me cry each time I try to read it.

When God calls little children
To dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question
The wisdom of His love
For no heartache compares with
The death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world
Seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
The aged to his fold,
So He picks a rosebud
Before it can grow hold.
God knows how much we need them,
And so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven
More beautiful to view
Believing this difficult,
Still we must try
The saddest word mankind knows
Will always be "Goodbye"
So when a little child departs,
We who are left behind,
Must realize God loves children.
Angels are hard to find.

I tell this to my daughter all the time. She lost 5 children. Although none of them were carried full term, they were fully developed when she delivered them. I was there for all the births and they had everything and the earliest one was at 13 weeks. I told her God knew just how much she loved babies, so He has 5 that will never grow older for her and she can momma them in heaven. But right now, angels are teaching them how to sing.
