This whole election is starting to really scare me.
I am sorry but neither candidate has a thing to offer that I think will pull this country out of the hot water we are in.

It is the blind faith in the party lines that is concerning me the most.
You see it on here almost everyday.
Fighting about, name calling over, party lines. At this point it has gotten so extreme that what you are fighting over is the difference between fascism, and socialism and neither fit well in a constitutional republic.

It scares me.
You are not allow to be rich you are not allowed to be poor, you are only allowed to be taxed. Hell that is communisn.

Shit can Social Security even though I have paid into my entire adult life.
Bail out Corp America because we live on credit, and the world just can not take the hit.

It has never been my top priority to bring democracy to the world, finance the world, or feed the world.
That may sound cold but to date nations are still starving, they are still fighting dictators, terrorists can still be found in the middle east, we are broke, and we have not solved our own problems. Throwing money at a problem has not fixed the nature of the problem only patched it.

We have lobbiest running amuck on Capitol Hill buying every favor they can throw money at. Corrupt politicians and business men, with no accountability doing about anything they want as long as they get wooed strong enough. Non-Profits contributing to campaigns? Like a non-profit can afford it?

Something is terribly wrong with this picture and all anyone can do is argue party lines?

Do me favor break the snooze button on your alarm and wake up all the way, we are a couple of weeks to the election and if we continue to vote along these lines this country will continue to degrade. Vote Liberatatian, vote Constitional, vote anything but Democrat or Republican and show Capitol Hill that if they don't start taking us, the constiuents, seriously they will no longer be able to stay in their nice comfortable quagmire of corruption. Vote against the incumbant Senators and Congress. Get these guys out of there that are on the lobbiest speed dial.

They say a government runs amuck when it is no longer afraid of the people, well maybe they should taste a little fear that it could all come crashing down around their ears if they don't get a little more solution oriented and a little less rhetorical.

i was a goldwater republican in 1964, opposed the civil rights act of 1964.
i was on the losing side, and punished throughout my life as many others
were for their political, economic, religious beliefs here in the union
of soviet america. we've been slowly going communist since feb. 3rd, 1913 when
the 16th amendment was passed, all income is taxable, no matter from what
source derived. that is govt. of the People, by the People and for the People.
socialism. so, your article here you wrote was very good. i vote socialist
out of personal survival, against my conscience and true belief system.
living the 'double life'. f***in yeah, halloween.

Well Jayej like another said it's only four years, hopefully people will have learned to not let anyone stay in office 8 and he can be voted out before too much damage is done. Many of the bills that are in Congress now will be there during his term anyways and I don't believe there will be too much change. Well all except being poorer, and a few minor things like that. I just worry about foreign policy. We can't afford to be in another war that's for sure. Maybe by then America can produce someone better to run for President. tc Lost

Is any of this starting to make sense yet?
If not here is a little fuel to get you thinking.

The Freddie and Fannie Lobby

McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, or his lobbying firm has taken more than $2 million from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac dating to 2000. In December, Freddie Mac contributed $250,000 to last month's GOP convention.

Obama has received $120,349 in political donations from employees of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae; McCain $21,550.

120 grand from employees, now don't get me wrong i believe you can contribute to anyone one you want to contribute to. But 120 grand....that would be at least 600 employees giving 200 hundred bucks a pop. But since Obama doesn't name his 200 dollar contributers, that means it was fewer people investing...ooops...or er contributing more...

Don't you think it sounds as if both sides of the coin are still being polished?

yep

I am a section 8 housing manager and you know I have to count it as income if a family member buys a tenant non-food items? I actually have to send a form called a "periodic monetary assistance form" to the person providing the sundries and it has to be faxed to them and faxed back or it is not considered third party verification, then I have to count it as income and adjust their rent accordingly.
no matter from what source derived

Remember that when you go to get a HUD backed mortgage from these bail outs.

vote anything but Democrat or Republican
That's what I plan on doing.Frankly, I am sick to death of both parties.
None of Obama's pie in the sky promises can or will come to fruition simply because the money to fund them doesn't exist.
The other clown isn't much better.

Thats what I am afraid of cookie.

I kind of liked the American dream, you know buy a house, raise your kids, sit on the porch with your grandkids, pass down the memories, and the house, not just the mortgage and the taxes.

The thing that concerns me most is the way Americans EXPECT politicians to solve anything. They get elected by promising not to raise taxes so they're forced to deficit spend because we will not abide having services taken away. The deficit spending destroys our econmomy and gives a competative edge to foriegn manufacurers and foriegn currencies. That politician cannot be elected if he does ANYTHING to take those lollypops away from YOU. Sorry, but this is the fact of life. We're spoiled and want our bobbies complete with nipples and if we don't get them THEN we'll throw the bums out. The whole system keeps dishonest men in office and the responsible ones sitting on the sidelines wondering at the public stupidity. I'm sure very few will agree with me. Personal responsibility is something else very few know of. If you really want things to be right in America, vote for the person who offers you less. That's the honest man.

That is why I said break the snooze button on that alarm.
Grandma used to say spt in one hand and expect in the other and see which get filled fastest. ( Grandma Ruby the toothless terror. lol)

Not to be contrary but I am down to the toosie roll on this lollipop and I fon't have anything but a tax bill to show for it....nope no bad mortgage, no fancy car payment, no food stamps, and no damned Social Security left I have paid into for ever.

We're spoiled and want our bobbies complete with nipples and if we don't get them
There comes a time when all children need to be weened, they cry alot scream sometimes, but in the long run it is easier for both mother and child.

Personal responsibility is something else very few know of
Well they should get used to it. Politicians, Bankers, congressmen and Senators alike.

As long as we continue to write a blank check to any country that comes along crying to the US for financial aid, things will continue to spiral downhill. It's high time we said the hell with the rest of the world and took care of our own people for a change.

Getting rid of the career politician would be a good start at solving the problem, but a handful of voters can't do it alone. It's time to make your friends, neighbors, relatives understand just what is really going on and one way to turn it around is to get the career politician out of his plush office.
