a-1 - You will notice that moron liberals will attack your blog and not produce one thing that Barry has accomplished as a Senator or State Senator.
Why is this?
1- Because he has accomplished nothing
2- Because people would rather believe in Superman when things are tough than live in actual REALITY. Most of these whack job liberals are leftover burnouts from the 60's and are likely suffering the after effects of too many drugs.
Barry Obama is a phony empty suit. Even Joe Biden is worried about him being untested. In his own words - "President of the USA is not a place for on job training."

You can not help people that like to stay blind. They will be the same ones who knock him (should he win, God forbid) when they find out he is a wolf in sheep clothing. Some people have to see it to believe it.

This is exactly why so many people are flocking to him.....the other side is so miserable with thier attitude and thier mouths, that anything has to be better than the kind of people the other side has spawned.

Ever notice in human affairs, how the people who yell about other's being blind the most, are themselves deeply affected by the human failure to be able to see past one's own biases and desires?
Ever notice how often people reduce serious questions to meaningless phrases? I'm not sure Vinnie could have packed more empty phrases in his response if he had wanted to.
Note how you ask the question of qualifications without first informing the reader of what you think the qualifications would be?
Is it experience of some kind? What kind? All the past presidents in my life time have had all sorts, and I wouldn't yield a seat on a bus for any of them. For certain ones, Nixon, Reagan, Bush Jr., I would save for them a cell in federal prison with their hyper-ego driven world views that allowed them to disregard the Constitution with secret wiretapping, secret wars and illegal wars, and 'executive privilege'. Two were governors, Nixon was a VP.
Is it accomplishments? Of what kind? Running for office and winning is an accomplishment. Working with people on the wrong side of history is an accomplishment. Representing the poor in courts is one.
Is it insight? Because if it is, this is the first time in my life that I've heard a presidential candidate who had insight into issues, rather than ideology. He listens to voices with expertise and experience from many perspectives, rather than one, or two. And he brings a pragmatism that isn't interested in the ideological screaming and wailing of mythological universes that we find on talk radio. He provides a voice of quiet reason, and not tons of worn out slogans (how long can folks be led to believe that 'tax and spend' is a meaningful categorization of people?) and empty political phrases (how many times can we be manipulated with 'freedom', 'patriot' and 'America' before we recognize nothing was said of substance and vision?).
Why is part of the nation so eager to discount the work of someone who has chosen to work with and for the people of color and poverty? Why do we even have to ask why being a representative of constituents at a state and national level doesn't count as qualifications? What data do we lean into to show that any measure of 'qualification' we thought was useful before, has actually produced a leader for the country who brought the nation together to solve the problems of poverty, a poor educational system, inequality with relationship to ethnicity, gender, age, pollution, job migration, immigration or a myriad of other problems?
We can't, because there isn't any.
Not a single qualification has resulted in substantive problem solving driven by the Oval Office and its bully pulpit. The closest we might have come to the nation digging in together was the attempt at solving the Great Depression and the overlap into WWII.
Yet despite that...we keep wanting to believe our mythological realities handed to us by our herds, that somehow the ideology and all of its incumbent name calling and divisive rhetoric is useful beyond helping us beat our chests and howling at the chimeras.
We don't get to the future as a better place, alone. We either do it together or we don't do it at all. A leader who can call to the commonality, and not simply impose it in sloganeering - 'I want to talk to people who are 'pro-American!' - is, for me, far more deeply qualified than any leader who keeps thinking there is an 'us' and a 'them' within the nation they want to lead...

Well, this election has had me change my party affiliation to Republican.
I'm sorry, but I cannot vote for a fraud or back a party that feels this is the way to go.
IF Obama is elected...hoping for the Bradley Effect to kick in on election day and he's NOT...he will cause nothing but strife in this country...sad sigh

A Liberal President And Congress will lead us backwards, not forwards. What Obama says in his speeches reflects The Great Society which was tried and became a dismal failure.
He is long on rhetoric and a mesmerizer in his speeches but Where is the beef. What he is proposing is Socialism which reflects what his own book reflects about himself where in college he embraced Marxism and said what it put forth resounded within me.
His long association with the radical left every since he got out of college he has lied about over and over. He has changed his posture many times solely for the votes of people. Acorn, ex terrorists, a preacher who hates America, receiving 300,000 dollars as a gift from a convicted felon and much more gives anyone pause.

Oh yes let's revote in Bu$h (after all, that's what McCain really is,, a Bu$h clone). Goes back to the old definition of insanity,, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Sure let's up the tax loopholes for corporate America but cut Medicare benefits or tax them for Seniors.
And let's not forget Palin who literally refuses to discuss ANYTHING and who:
1.) Thinks shooting herds of animals from an aircraft is sport 2.) Thinks Creationism should be taught in school 3.) Thinks her living in Alaska and bordering other countries qualifies her as a diplomat. 4.) Is against abortion even in the case of rape and incest. 5.) Is more vapid and stupid than Dan Quale.
Oh and if I hear ONE more male say "I"m voting for Paylin.. she's HOT" I'm gonna puke.

CuffnKiss, those are all very good points you've made.
Oh yes, and jayej made some very astute observations as well.
Beyond that, I feel compelled to say on this blog that one simply cannot argue with ignorance.
