A little while ago my daughter suggested that we get our cat a small kitten as a pet for the cat. I explained to her that animals don't have pets the same as them. That it would be like humans having a pet human.
She looks at me with her big brown eyes and says "Mommy. You do have a pet person. ME! You take me for walks, give me drinks when I'm thirsty and you feed me when I'm hungry! So I am your pet! Just don't put me on a least okay?"
I'm really glad I write this stuff down, so I can show her how funny she was later on!!

yes, you have to love them. They say the cutest things. I had an old 8 track of my daughter learning to talk and someone stole it from me. Twas kinda sad, because I did not get to have it very long. Tis a good idea to tape them saying their cute little things.

I loved it, hun...as I do all your Blogs....
Leash.... My "kid" is 48...I can still remember when I DID put him on a leash....Actually, it was a harness and very safe....I found that it gave him freedom to move around, it gave me security to know he was within my sight at all times, and, expecially in the supermarket, he could reach what I WANTED HIM TO REACH, on the shelves.
He and I had no problems with it...BUT, WOW, the comments I got from others were unbelievable....I wonder if they were parents?
Your kudo is on its way.....This blog is another winner...you keep bringing back such great memories. By the way, I had a whole bunch of 12 tracks, 8 tracks, etc. and my children took them all and put them on one VCR...Now we can go through their entire childhood effortlessly.
Fondly, KK
