I haven't been really active here since, well, for a bit now, because of life... but I come back every now and then because I have been fortunate enough to add a few really good friends here who seem to worry about me enough to email me to chaw the fat.
Being as I am coming down with a bit of something, I took a long hot shower and decided to sip some hot chocolate and read some blogs. What a bad decision. I thought perhaps I could catch a good love story blog, one that gave each of us some insight to who the person doing the blogging was, what they felt, cared about, saw with beauty and how they cared and were capable of loving.
Much to my sorrow, I found mostly blogs about politics.. now, I am the first to agree, each of us needs to listen to each candidate, try to sort past the lies and bull shite that each and every one does while campaigning. See, I believe that though each may start out with maybe the best of intentions on running on a platform of truths and things that they know they can accomplish or try to accomplish with the help and assistance of their cabinet members and each of the American citizens who understand that the country we have is worth investing time and effort in however we can, but I draw the line at the crap that ends up spewing from each and every individual that chooses to run for any electoral position. It is like watching monkeys... you know the adage, monkey see, monkey do. Monkeys watch the others in their group, if they see one is getting more attention, then.. by golly, by gosh, that other monkey is gonna try to one-up the first one, and so on .. back and forth.
This isn't a blog about the presidential campaign, but it is a blog about the politicians and more so the people here that believe if they write a blog about their beliefs in one candidate or another, the people that are on this site in some way will have an epiphany when they read the writer's blog, and switch their thought processes and what they believe in and go over to the other side. Come on.. we are supposed to be thinking, rational human beings, each of us can read, I know this to be true as each of you are reading this.. and each of us can form our very own opinions .. we will each vote in whatever manner we believe in our hearts and minds to best serve us and our country.
Stop, please, write something from your heart.. not about the politicians, but perhaps about what is really important in life.. friends and family .. tell MD readers what makes you unique, what warms your innards and brings that awesome smile and twinkle to your eyes. Tell us about your passions, your fears, your dreams, your hopes. When it comes down to the final countdown, it really won't make a hill of beans about what you believed about any politician, it is up to the majority of our voters to select who they feel will do the better job.
It has been no secret that I have just not been wanting to stick my toe back in the blogwater here.. and I am not chastising anyone .. I just believe that there are some things in life that even supercede the upcoming election.. life, laughter, love and precious time each of us have to garner as much as we can and give it back to others... pay it forward!!
Even in this haze that I am in, God continues to send me beauty to see.. this weekend, driving to my brother's house, it was raining and then suddenly, it stopped and in front of me was the most beautiful rainbow...
Please stop the bantering and berating about the politicians.. go hug someone, go smile at someone.. make sure you embrace what is important!
I leave you with a very meaningful and lovely Native American Poem:
CIRCLE OF TIME
Like a spider they await For the trusting and unsuspecting prey. To light upon their web To twist and deceive you Until you believe what has been said To be truth, love and kindness.
Words of evil and trustless faith Has warped this world of it's gentleness And stripped the life from it. The very being of it's soul Has been buried beneath The cries of pain of centuries old
For they all watch and sit and wait To see how much further we shall go How much more destruction is left. Sadly, we are being waited on by eyes much wiser and knowing Than yours or mine Just to see what we will do In our Circle of Time. LneStarLdy

Rainbows are one of the most beautiful things in the world. I love the meaning behind it because it lets me know that I can believe and hope again.

the boy's got a head like an atom bomb hang him from a cross like the number one son and he’s been waiting so long to get it on.
the boy’s 15 but he’s 16 gauge wants to get out from his Jesus cage he’s already torn out the last page it's the "latest rage"
Violence for the people they always eat the hand that bleeds Violence for the people give the kids what they need
Kill your god Kill your god Kill your TV
the boy's purified by the quitter gods burning up his cross like a revelation and his glass jaw opens like a puppet head
Violence for the people they always eat the hand that bleeds Violence for the people give the kids what they need
Kill your god Kill your god Kill your TV
this is what you should fear you are what you should fear
this is what you should fear you are what you should fear
this is what you should fear you are what you should fear
this is what you should fear you are what you should fear
this is what you should fear you are what you should fear
this is what you should fear
Violence for the people they always eat the hand that bleeds Violence for the people give the kids what they
Violence for the people they always eat the hand that bleeds Violence for the people give the kids what they need
Kill your god Kill your TV
Kill your god Kill your TV
Kill your god Kill your TV
Kill your god Kill your TV

another interesting native poetry read you might enjoy... The Sound the Stars Make Rushing Through the Sky
and a few word of thought-as best as i can remember them from a translated conversation... take only what you need not more than you need because as we rush towards things we dont need we forget what we have....the wind, the sun, the moon, the forest and the sweet dragon tears of rain
thanks for the interlude
