Now that I have your attention perhaps you will read the history and how absolutely rediculous it is to insinuate that the current housing crisis is Bush's fault

It has taken more than eight years to get where we are now. Every president has had a mountain of debt before him when he went into office. I think the decline of our country started back when welfare was introduced as a means of income. Where there is something given away, you will always find the fraudulent trying to find a way to get their hands on it.
You can only pray that God will bless America again and make her again the great country she once was.

You needed more proof? Hello!? It's amazing that he got elected once. Tragic that anyone would vote for him a second time.
The real tragedy is an electoral system that allows a person (organization) like him to gain power, remain in power, or, shockingly, regain power!

The real tragedy The real tragedy is your inability to read, peabian.
.
You can only pray that God will bless America again and make her again the great country she once was. ky,
Even god knows that America (and everything around her) must come to an end. So if it's his will, then [we] should be thankful.
.
The liberals don't care. They have no vested interest to care. LR,
Don't sound so defeated.
Even if just one liberal opens their eyes [for the first time], such seemingly "pointless" efforts are definitely worth it.
And look at it this way, should Hussein Obama get elected and mandate Halal only foods for everyone....imagine the revolt!
Oh goody-gum-drops!!! Fun, fun, fun!!!

It is a 'corporate media myth' that the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) led to the current crisis. According to one news article -- "approximately 80 percent of high-priced subprime loans were offered by financial institutions that are not subject to the CRA. Moreover, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco earlier this year said the CRA has actually increased the volume of responsible lending to low- and moderate-income households" -- read the full article here.
You can also read a complete list of "Myths and falsehoods about the purported link between affordable housing initiatives and the financial crisis" here.

cos ... wow .... media matters ... now there's a real reliable source this is nothing but a bunch of spin by a politically active group
I post an article from a source only interested in MONEY and the response is from an admittedly far left leaning, far left supporting group and we are supposed to believe the latter when it is obvious their motives??? ... ear
and by the way ... anyone who wants to check the ACTUAL voting records I should not have to tell you where to find them ... but if you insist - drop a line and I will

The link you provided does have the correct story of this market collapse which has it's roots going back to laws passed in 1977 followed by such things as the motor voter laws. All of this was a front for Democrats and their policies to reach out and down to gain more votes regardless of if a voter is legally eligible or not.
This was top down driven by the Democrats while it was sideways driven by the Democrat front organization named ACORN which is not one organization it is a front for over 100 not for profit organization funded by our tax money under the cover of community organizations.

I will make a long story short. It's the loan companies fault. When bought my second home back in '98 and went to closing, I told them I could only pay $ this amount each month. This amount was agreed to before closing. At closing they raised it $200. without my knowledge. What was I to do? Everyone was already in U-hauls, landlords notified, and keys exchanged. So we all said ok. I managed the payments but it wasn't easy. This was with Countrywide home loans, one that nearly went Bankrupted recently. I heard they did that to many homeowners at the last minute. They and many loan companies sold homes to ppl who couldn't afford it, same story over and over. They used child support, unemployment, temporary disability payments as income, etc. and people just couldn't make the payments. I was ok because I had a good job. But many couldn't, that is not Bush's problem. It was the loan company ripping off people. They said I could have backed out, but I was inbetween a rock and a hard place with no where to go at the time. The loan companies know this and got away with it. They did it to thousands and now we are paying for it. tc Lost
