The other day my dad came for a visit and we spoke about the upcoming election. We have very different views, so we only spoke briefly about it. the final word on the subject came from my dad and I am gonna follow his words on this on. He said...

" I don't care who you vote for, but vote...and when you vote...vote for someone who has never been in office. Shake these SOB's up, and keep them shook up. Since the government won't put restrictions on how long they can stay in office, we need to do it ourselves and stick with it."

So from now on, when I go to vote, I will know who has been in office, and I will vote for the new guy. This might just keep these guys on their toes, let them know we are not happy. We must take away their comfort zone, no reelection for senators and such. No more 10 and 20 year seats, no more life time politicians.

We do have the power to stop them.

	Now that makes sense to me! Your daddy has wisdom that should be spread around. I have never understood why the American people put all those politicians on pedestals anyway. God forbid, they work for the people (supposedly) and we keep them in limoes(sp), caviear(sp), and lay down in the mud so they can use us as their bridge. You invite people into your home and it is reasonable to expect honesty and respect. Well we the people have invited these politicians into our government and the majority of them have no concept of what honesty means, and the word respect is not in their frame of reference.

	You Dad was a smart guy I have always said there should be a 2 term limit for both houses screw all this special interest and sweetheart deals "Shake them up" I say kick them all out, both houses and elect new reps and for a max of 2 terms

	From my understanding, that is what our 'Forefathers' intended---they left their everyday life to 'serve' their country for a specified period of time. Not as a career path.

	Sounds to me like the best advice I've heard throughout this entire drama. And, if I might add, NOT voting is definitely leaving it up to the next guy and letting it out of your hands....a precious right not every country has. KK

	Well for years ive tried to do this....vote them out...but for some reason...here in indiana...they always get back in........cookie
