I've had plenty of ringtones since I got my first cell phone when I was sixteen.

My first one was some generic Nokia ringtone that came with my dinky Nokia phone, but that was quickly replaced by a series of Beatles ringtones. I remember I had "Drive My Car", "Norwegian Wood", "Day Tripper", and "I Am the Walrus". I think that "Day Tripper" was the best one. I still remember those cold winter days in early 2005 with my Nokia phone on the bus searching for Beatles ringtones. Good times.

Then, in October 2006, I got my Motorola RAZR. My pink Motorola RAZR. The Nokia phone was quickly forgotten about because the RAZR looked so much cooler. Not only that, but I could have real music ringtones instead of just polyphonic ones now!

I got some pretty good ringtones on that phone...I had "God" by John Lennon, "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2" by Pink Floyd, the German national anthem, the Batman theme, and others.

I remember the first time Marko ever called me, my ringtone was "Mind Games" by John Lennon. And when he was here, my ringtone was "Redneck Woman" by Gretchen Wilson.

I got my LG EnV2 in July...and the time came to choose another ringtone. I didn't really know what I wanted, so I chose "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce. I really only chose it because it's that one song I can't f***ing beat on medium in Guitar Hero III and I have a weird obsession with it.

I think I'm sticking with this ringtone. It's been there through the great times....and the really, really f***ing awful times. It's woken me up during my pre-11:45 PM nap to let me know "I'm not going to work today because I'm sick"...it's woken me up in the morning to let me know "I'm okay, I just drank too much yesterday"....it's rang at 8:30 at night on a Friday and led to an awful fight with a drunken boyfriend....and it's rang every day at 3 PM, sometimes led to phone sex, but always led to great conversation and affection.

Funny...I always got bored with my ringtones before this. But I feel strangely committed to this one.
