My brother's service was Friday, but the priest didn't show for the service. After a small discussion, we decided that since they had already opened Dave's site, to lay Rick's marble vault on top, they should do so and then have the priest come up later next week and do the service,

Cleaning and painting his house has been a real eye-opener. Sometimes, I feel like am losing what little bit of my sanity is still intact. One moment, while I am painting or cleaning, I completely forget why .. and then it hits me... these mood swings are overwhelming and completely unexpected.

I realize that Rick is in a much better place, free of pain, free of sadness and that he is reunited with Dave and Max and I am happy in that moment, the next I am overcome with sadness.

I realize that grief is a funny animal. It causes the mood swings I am experiencing and I realize also that I am the eldest and as such need to be strong for my parents, but there are times, especially after I have spent the entire weekend at my brother's house, that I come home and while I shower, I weep. That way no one ever needs know I have these feelings.

However, I did have a treat while at my mom & dad's one evening... after we had taken a dinner break and come back to the house for some grub, my nephew had his two little girls there trick or treating and I got some shots .. if you would like to see them.. here is the link:

And before I forget again, thank you to those that contributed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to get me out of lock up. Your contributions and generosity are much appreciated, and they will be put to good use with the children's camps. I never am surprised with the good people out there.

I am exhausted.. and tomorrow I have a coaching and counseling session with a big wig from Harrisburg... guess I will head off.. thank you all again for the continued prayers and well wishes.. I guess this just needs to ride the course..
