Saturday I think I had what I count at least, as a great privilege. My son came home from college to visit but he had another motive. A good one. So we could go and vote together. (isn't early voting wonderful?)

It was so exciting to vote with my son - He is old enough to be voting for the first time! I am so proud of him for starting at his young age to be a responsible person and to take this privilege we, as Americans have, so seriously.

I have always told my children the importance of voting, but even more important is to know who and what you are voting for. He took this to heart, watching every debate he could, reading about the candidates and a lot of debates in classrooms and out. I told him it was not important to vote for who I believed in, but who he believed in. Of course that isn't a problem for my children as I have always encouraged them to think for themselves. Further proof of that is my daughter voting for the wrong candidate

Actually it's been fun because we have had some friendly debates along the way and that always gets everyone more involved in learning more about their candidates so we'd have more to debate about next time!!

Anyway, it may not sound like a real exciting weekend - but it is a time I will always treasure. (but darn it, would you believe he wouldn't let me take a photo to make this special moment)?

Have a great day everyone

I had an intern with me on Friday and she had already voted for Obama. Through some discussion it became apparent that she feels she did not have all of the information and now has "buyer's remorse".

I wonder how many other folks will have buyer's remorse?

This election has been so great for the American public because of it's historical value and for its debating qualities among, families, workers and friends.

I have witness normally racist people actually change their mind on Obama, whereas only 6 months ago they would used the "N" about him instead.

That my friend is progress on a level never seen before or even thought of just a few years ago.

Well I hope voting goes well, they just found thousands of voter registration forms totally filled out all over the interstate highway in ( Florida of all states) with people's personal information on them. Police say it's a civil matter. Hmmmmm. Nice you are teaching your kids well. tc Lost
