Thinking back to Dwight Eisenhower, Commanding General of Allied Forces in World War II, and later President of the US, I wonder how far his political career would have gone had he been say, a Nazi party supporter or Communist party activist? Would it be because people in that era would never have voted for anyone who gave creedence to any other ideaology other than American values? Maybe Americans at that time were more unified and less easily swayed by the polished words of career politicians looking to further their own prosperity. I know that goes back a long way in the pages of history and seems irrelevant, but this also sheds light on the type of citizen that exists today.
Great leaders are exceptional because of their character and their allegiance to their country and what it stands for. They do not find flaws in our great Constitution. They do not take more from their country than they give. Their legacy is felt for generations to come because of their heroism and convictions. Their convictions are represented by their loyalty to their flag and country, They do not mock that flag and those who died defending it by refusing to put a hand over their chest when the pledge of allegiance is publicly given. Great leaders stand for all races within the borders of this country. They have no hidden agendas about righting the wrongs of the past or penalizing the middle class by forcing hard working Americans to share their money with those who would rather live on hand-outs and be wards of the state. Great leaders do not associate with the likes of terrorists who have voiced a desire to destroy United States property to further their radical causes.
Men like Dwight D. Eisenhower were certainly not perfect, but when our nation called upon them in dangerous times, they responded with courage, determination, and a love for this country that they would have died for.John McCain comes from that mold, but I've seen no evidence at all that legitimizes Barrack Obama with a wife that frowns upon America as an ugly place that she could not be proud of.
I wonder if President Truman, outspoken to a fault, would have become vice president to FDR had he chosen to hide his personal, educational, and citizenship records from the eye of the public. The citizens of that era, no doubt, would have been wise enough to smell a fraud, but today the media covers up for Obama and Democrats angrily accuse people of mudslinging when those who want to know attempt to make a perfectly fair inquiry.
Had FDR tried to impose socialist values upon America during The Great Depression, would the voters of that decade have elected him? Of course not, Americans knew even then that less government was better, and being able to keep the fruits of your labor is a time honored tradition in our country. It is a right guaranteed in the Constitution. For this is One Nation Under God. The Christian God not Allah of Islam. You may think that sounds rhetorical but it is not as Obama is an admitted Muslim who says he would side with them if the religious atmosphere were ever to get ugly in the US. Yet, voters in the modern-day America say that that is irrelevant and unimportant to today's citizens. Our media, our so called free press, encourages us to practice liberally and to ignore the questionable behavior and associations of a man with little experience in matters of the state, foreign affairs, and military preparedness as our overseas enemies applaud him. Does this tell you what kind of citizen now occupies this country and where their loyalties truly lie?
A proponent of abortion and of the introduction of radical politics into elementary school level curiculum does not sound to me like a leader who possesses the best interests of this country in his policies. A nation that is subverted at its very grass roots level of moral and ethical values soon collapses under the weight of its own wicked loss of integrity. The young are are robbed of the essential concepts of right and wrong under liberal influences. They learn never to take a stance on anything that is worth fighting for or defending which someday could actually be their very own country.
Under the liberal illusion abstract concepts that rob our country of the very reasons it came to being are promoted. Socialism is in direct opposition of our Constitution and yet its very precepts are advocated as we "Spread the wealth" or Joe Biden supports an amendment to pledge up to 8% of the US GNP to the United Nations, or that we cheer, "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" so we don't offend some Muslim who lives here on our soil. Liberalism embraces the arrival of illegal aliens across our borders without proper screening and procedure. In a dangerous world of terrorism that exists this is extremely unwise, but not to Democrats like Hillary Clinton who proposed illegal alien license plates signifying a pardon for those driving cars in NYC.
It is true that we are in a changing world. The financial markets are in free fall, international influences in America can be readily felt, and the future is uncertain while the end is always near, but some things never change. Right and wrong for instance, they never change no matter how many times angry Democrats lash out at anyone who questions Obama's true loyalties or who he really is, or who really owns him with all the unidentified sources of campaign money that he has overwhelmed his GOP counterparts with in this presidential election. Being a liberal does not give anyone the right to reinterpret right and wrong, especially where it concerns American traditions of liberty and justice, our inalienable rights, and a government that recognizes that those who work harder and smarter should be rewarded as such, and not penalized for being prosperous so that the federal governments does not promote parasites who have no ambition to achieve.
You may fault the last eight years of Republican rule, disregarding 9/11 and the last two years of a Democratic majority on Capitol Hill, but don't let that influence you into blindly voting for change at any possible cost. At our present precarious position on the very edge of the abyss today which we only peer from afar, may tomorrow see us plunge right into with little hope of recovery. Our great legacy as a nation of high standards and a champion of human rights could easily slip below the surface of mediocrity leaving us never to ascend to those lofty standards that our forefathers bequeathed to us again! You will feel that impact!
