Years ago, I was a carpenter, banging nails in the hot California sun. California has an income tax, and the Republican Governor, Ronald Reagan, came on the TV and made a speech about how everybody had to pay his fair share, so the state could move ahead.

A reporter from the Berkely Barb found out what Governor Reagan's share was.

A hard working carpenter, making a living driving nails in the fiery sun, my share was $158 .

Governor Reagan, a multimillionaire rancher, with residuals from his films, and getting the governor's salary ( and all the perks that come with it), paid zero dollars, zip, zilch, nada, not one da_n red cent toward the state. That was his idea of doing his fair share.

This leads me to two conclusions.

1. He was a darn crook, milking the public, while feeding lavishly at the public trough.

2. The Republican party can be complimented for consistancy, if nothing else.

Draw your own conclusions from these facts, and remember to vote.

Reminds me of George Orwell's book Animal Farm.

"Some are more equal than others."

BTW, that was an example of Reagan's "Trickle Down Economics Theory."

You got trickled on!
