Today will be a day that changes the course of American history !
The polls in my sleepy liittle town of 20,000 people here in Massachusetts opened up at 7 AM and much to my amazement there were already lines forming.
I have never missed voting in an election and the lines of people waiting to vote at this time of the day have NEVER happened before in this town.
I got there at 7AM and I was the 58th person to vote as the machine tally told me when it took my ballot.
In closing,It is very refreshing to think that voter apathy may finally be a thing of the past in this country !
So get out there and vote early ( and often j/k) and may the best man win !

My son and I will go vote today, He will vote Democratic and I Republican. He understands my views while I don't understand his at all lol. Fortunately, He hasn't disowned me as a mother because of our political views and we have never gotten into an argument over them in fact he has admitted some of what Obama should have done as I have admitted some of McCain's downfalls. I will be glad when this is over too as I expect he will be too so he doesn't have to hear me say he's voting blind anymore as he's adult enough to just shake it off with a sly smile. lol tc Lost

I've read your blogs..I'm ashamed you hail from New England. AND was you trying to tape JFK ??? If so, don't make me sick. HE IS NO JFK. You seem to have a lot of time on your hands...goggle JFK speeches and you will see the vast differences. Fact there is one speech where JFK is saying the complete opposite of what Obama reads of his paper.

I cast the 126th vote in my precinct. That was at about 9 a.m. I was told they barely had that many vote the entire day in the primaries.
I'm glad so many people have taken an interest in this election & that so many people are taking part in their civic duty. It would have made me happier had people not gotten so nasty with their opinions, though. Despite "it only being words," when derogatory comments are spoken over & over with no concern for other people, it's crass & wrong. With friends like that, who needs enemies.
Thanks P_B.....and my apology to you for using your blog to make a message.

I'm in a sleepy little town in Mass, too, and am amazed at the amount of people voting! I was especially happy about so many children coming in with their parents to see it first hand. Makes me proud!
