Do you really think someone who wants to advance a particular political agenda is going to study logical fallacy? During the election we heard the wildest cause and effect fallacies and most gave them credence. This will always happen. Honesty doesn't usually win elections. That can only happen when you appeal to an honest and intellegent electorate.
Dave wanted a big screen TV.
His wife Deb wanted to remodel a room for her mother to move into.
Dave objected to the room renovation.
Dave hates mothers.
Vote for Deb because she'll take care of your Mother.

Sometimes in trying to discuss polling methodology here, I feel like George Bailey fighting the battle of Bedford Falls. It was especially hilarious and frustrating in recent months. There's the crowd that thinks that a "poll" on Yahoo or AOL has as much scientific merit as something done by Gallup or any of the other major polling organizations. Try telling them that the AOL poll has as much science behid it as a quiz in
