Gay marriage isn’t this issue. It’s just a diversion from the issue.
The issue is why the government has anything to do with marriage in the first place. It’s an excellent example of how bloated and intrusive the government has become and how it has drifted away from the critical principle of limited government, individual liberty and reserving powers to the people instead of the government.
The solution is that the government should get out of the marriage business altogether -- whether heterosexual or homosexual -- and get back to the original principles of limited government that this country was founded on and that made it the greatest nation in history.
The entire issue of marriage should be left up to the private sector and the churches. If a church wants to call two men, two women, 3 men and 8 women or a woman and a sheep married, that should be the business of the people involved and their faith and no one else‘s.
The government should neither encourage nor discourage marriage. There should be no special privileges for married couples. All people should be treated as INDIVIDUALS in the eyes of the law. This is the fairest way and the way that leads to maximum liberty.
And if some guy wants to put you know what, you know where, it’s their business, not the government‘s.
Get the government out of the bedrooms and get the government out of the marriage issue. It has no place in the limited government concept the Constitution embodies.
It’s one good example of a way to eliminate a giant government bureaucracy, cut billions of dollars from the budget, stop bilking taxpayers for intrusive government programs and policies, and increase all of our liberties at the same time.
We don’t need more government programs. We need LESS!
