Let me tell you first that you are a most unpleasant bunch.
With your venom dripping writings you imply that character and intelligence are somehow to be found in people’s skin…. or rather in the color of their skin.
Maybe your brain is situated in your skin.... Mine isn't....
According to your strange reasoning, a person with darker skin than yours…
- would/should/could not be as great as you are
- has supposedly a very easy life on welfare, at your expense
- is guaranteed to be a thief and/or murderer, your direct threat
- is a women beater and pervert
- does never work but only drink and party
- is on drugs and/or sells drugs to your kids
According to your strange reasoning, most of what’s wrong with society is due to Black people. White people seem to have very little defects and are nearly perfect, especially YOU…
Let me tell you two things:
1) you are jealous of what others - seemingly without effort - receive from the government. You also seem to think that welfare is a whole bunch of money...
Why don’t you grow up a bit? Kids are jealous of the other kids' cheap MacDonald toys...
2) You trace every injustice in this society back to the color of the skin.... knowing very well that there are a whole bunch of white guys who are lazy, who milk the system staying on welfare forever, who are criminals and drug dealers, who beat up their women, who are perverts, who steal, rob and kill.
You KNOW you are wrong... yet.... you still write this kind of simplistic blogs and comments...
You probably do it just for sympathy... because that's what it all comes down to: me, me, me and myself...
It also looks as if there is a whole herd of you guys....

^5 gurl....I have 4 daughters...and I always told them this. If you want to know about a man truely.....look at the way he treats his mother.....cause he is going to treat you the same way. If I had a choice of a white man or whatever come to my house and treat my daughter like shit.....or a black man or whatever come to my house and treat my daughter like a princess......It dont matter to me what color he is......or race.....I want the man that is going to treat my daughter like gold....I am not racist at all....I think in every race there is going to be trash......white.....black....asian......chinese......and so on.... We all bleed the same.....we all hurt the same......we all shit the same......we all are HUMAN alike.......skin color DOESN'T matter at all.....cant we all get over this crap already?

since your blog is well written AND logical, don't expect them to bother reading it, OR seeing things from a different perspective. that mob will continue to feed off each other and pump false courage to any that might be coming to their senses. if they were so sure their allegations were correct, they could publicize them, and then patiently sit and wait for the outcome to prove their point. instead they think repetitive yelling, each louder than the last, will convert people to their side. lol, they will remain children forever. it's TOO BAD we can't treat them like children they are and put them in time-out until they quit throwing tantrums.

One may notice two things...
1) MD doesn't seem to care..... They don't have many Black people on here and I don't blame them, .... the Black people I mean... for staying away from this site.
And I'm sorry about that fact...
2) There are quite a few who comment on the racist blogs....(and many of those agree, or at least do not disagree....) There aren't all that many on this blog. It's kinda interesting....

Once again, simple comments about social discomfort are somehow translated into racism. I for one have been labeled 1000 times a racist. I suspect we all are, even you. the author of this, simply because you are saying that we should not be prejudiced against skin color.
Let me make my most major point against racism clear. Every nationality who is permitted to be racist in the United States DOES.
The problem is, that upon only one SKIN COLOR are racism laws enforced, whites. I did not use the term nationality, because any LIGHT SKIN person is assumed to be Anglo, and under these circumstances, are not permitted to be racist.
There's 1000 clubs made up of only Black, Hispanic, Asian, Persian ETC. and they are permitted to operate. Go into the club and it will be a short matter of time before you are ejected by threat when you are not of the select race. Just having a club that slightly suggests light skins only and any other nationality would be permitted to bring litigation against it without ever setting foot in the establishment.
That my friends is a racial injustice.
This is far more severe than the honky who's afraid to walk around in Compton.

Let me rant about that one too, The $1272 I pay every month in taxes, is a whole lot of money! If that ain't much to you, you obviously can afford to support a few families. But that isn't about race, it's about economics. Check your percentages on the racial statistics pertaining to welfare. The matter of fact is that it is skewed many ways to make folks think the way the presenter wants you to.
For example simple math will clarify something if you pay attention to both sides of the statistics:
Fact: 38.8% of the people on AFDC are "white" while only 37.7% are Black.
MAN! That's remarkable, knowing this statistic, You would believe that a white person is more likely to be on welfare than a black person! Amazing! I never knew.
Oops, lets look at another statistic:
Fact: In the United States 80.4% of the population is "white" while only 12.8% are "black"
Roughly 4,500,000 out of the 300,000,000 people in the US receive AFDC - Lets do the math!
There are (4.5M x 38.8%) 1,750,000 "whites" on welfare in the US
There are (300M x 80%) 240,000,000 "whites" in the US total
(1.75*100)/240=.73% (less than 1 in 100)
OK Here's the fun one -
There are (4.5M x 37.7%) 1,690,000 "blacks" on welfare in the US
There are (300M x 13%) 39,000,000 "blacks" in the US total
(1.69*100)/39=4.33% (roughly 1 in 25)
All numbers are rounded in favor of the "black" race.
We gotta stop buying into the hype and make people of all races be accountable, especially if that race is going to be permitted to be racist at will.
Label me a racist if you will, I take my people one at a time all things being equal until you open your mouth. I merely subscribe to a philosophy that states, "If you're gonna be racist at least be someone your race will be proud of."
Let your skin color hold your reputation if you're gonna be so proud of it.
Now one more quick statistic:
National Standardized Tests show that "English Learners" (Those who do not speak English as their first language) Have across the board scored higher in all subjects than blacks, including English the subject.
Tell me that one is about skin color?
I wouldn't be so proud of that little statistic.
It's about getting over your pride and racism and participating in promoting the nationalism of the United States.
If my race had that reputation, I would have to slap a few statistics publicly to embarrass those of my race. But where are these statistics? Why aren't they common knowledge? This is because it would be considered racist to publish them and the black community would litigate. But if these were white statistics, it would be front page news, and the white community would not be able to complain about it and blame anyone else. We would be forced to deal with it or live with the reputation. What would you do?
I honestly and truly believe, and now it has been proven in the annals of history that anyone of any race can be whatever they want to be in the United States. It behooves the black community to acknowledge this now and stop looking for excuses.

Let me just say this and I will shut up....
My oldest daughter is married to a man that is kind, sensitive, hardworking, a devoted husband and father, and treats my daughter like a priceless jewel...he has never taken drugs, and only has a couple beers during football games.
His entire familly is such a joy and I am sooo blessed that he chose my daughter for his lifemate.
And...his skin and ethnic heritage is diff from ours.....
I love him dearly, and wouldnt trade him for any caucasian male on the face of the earth!
Course...if he doesnt start sharing his BBQ sauce recipes, I may have to think about it...

Thank you for posting this blog.
You know, sometimes for a wound to heal, you must pick off the scab and I think that the election of Obama may just do that -- it may provide a forum for an open and frank discussion of race. Obama did it again the other day, when he joked that his daughters wanted a mutt, just like he is.
Perhaps a thorough discussion of race will get us to a topic that we don't ever discuss, because it seems unAmerican -- economic class and disparity. We don't want to face facts that the brass ring is not readily available to anyone who wants it and works hard for it.

I went through, as others in the country, segregation, the riots, affirmitive action etc.
Many whites, living in the inner city as myself, seen first hand the results of some of these policies.
And not all were good regardless of what some tell you from behind a podium.
Through the late 60's, 70's and 80's, there was an active effort to 'educate' the white population into believing that only white can be racist.
That the problems of the black communities were the 'white' man's fault.
That whites should not speak out because doing so , he would be a 'racist' or a 'bigot'.
Yet, Koreans, Vietnamese and other people came to this country in that same time line and it resulted in sucessful livelyhoods and assimulation into the community.
While, black leaders, in the name of 'heritage' encouraged the black sommunity to remember their roots.
This resulted in such bias and racist programs and institutions as , black colleges, black magazones, black Miss America etc.
If I, as a white man, encouraged my people in this same way, this would be railed as a 'white separatist' movement.
I, being a white man of Northern European heritiage, am proud of my people and their accomplishments.
Yet, very seldom, is anything heard of our sciences, arts, language or culture.
This was done to insure that the white population always feel a certain 'guilt' for being proud of our heritage and contributions to the world.
I will not subscribe to the idea that because someone disagrees with a certain culture that he/she is a racist.
It certainly does not apply to the black community but is force fed to our community as your suggestion that because a white man/woman speaks out against a black person he/she is a racist.
If this sounds 'racist', sorry for your luck.

There's 1000 clubs made up of only Black, Hispanic, Asian, Persian ETC.... I'm happy to say, I've been to various such 'exclusive' clubs. I've received the odd puzzled look, but never been 'tossed out'. They were only 'exclusive' by content, not policy. The entertainment (music, decor, etc) doesn't appeal, in general, to those of other cultures, but other cultures/colours/races aren't barred, banned nor kicked out.
A japanese kareoke bar tends to be full of japanese. Go figure. If I get up and sing, they'll laugh at my futile attempt at singing 'their' music. Go figure. They're perfectly happy to have me, though. Pleased that I'm willing to attempt to appreciate their culture.
A more dramatic example of 'acceptance' occurred at an illegal, afterhours, biker bar (Hell's Angels, primarily). I was there with a good friend, 1/2 black, 1/2 iranian. Extreme & blatent racism was the norm. Her response to the comment, "You're pretty cool for a nigger." was a simple & sincere, "Thanks!" He meant well, and she took it that way, despite his ingrained beliefs.
Perhaps, it's different in your neighbourhood, i8yurdog. Remind me not to visit.

It is a shame.
5 students at NCSU were caught writing racial slurs in reference to President Elect Obama, in the free expresion tunnel.
Now, it is the free expresion tunnel, but without knowing exactly what they wrote it's hard to make a case for free expresion, as threats have always been banned in the tunnel.
The part I found interesting, is that the NAACP went after the chancelor and demanded that these 5 boys be expelled from school. It looks like they are going to get their wish.
So, have they combated racism, or simply made turned 5 young boys into hard core life long racists? Would it not have been better to let them clean up the mess, and then have them spend 500 community service hours in the African American Cultural Center on campus? Heck, you could have sentenced them to a semester of living with the Phi Beta Sigma's, so that they could see first hand that people are people. Nothing like hoisting a few beers with the neighbors to get to know them.
No, the NAACP did not attack the root of the problem, the ignorance of the 5 boys, they attacked the symbol and responded to hate and ignorance, with blackmail and hate of their own. The message they sent, is that you better not write the word ________, or we will get you. They did not educate and build a bridge of understanding. Yet the message they gave to their members, and contributors was one of victory, and how the NAACP is fighting to stop racism with their generous contributions.
It's time to shut down the racism industry. To stop the segragation of people based on color, and the profit to be made from the continuation of racism. It's time to take racism out of our government, and eliminate the reference to race on every single government form and regulation and law,,,,, save one.
An article stating that all persons, regardless of race, are affored the same privilages and responsiblites of the constitution and the bill of rights, regardless of race.
Anything else, is the promotion and continuation of racism.
