Children are the greatest commodity that this country has. They are the future of things. The adults who are influencing these children today will one day become dependent of this children. So why is it then that we are influencing our children with things that are not good for them?

I saw the "Simpsons" movie in a theater that was packed with children. As I watched this movie it became apparent to me that this was more of a adult movie rather then a children movie. The movie was only rated PG13. When the movie was over, I was so glad I wasn't there with any children. In this movie, Homer dares his kid Bart to Skateboard naked through town, 2 male cops are seen making out at a gas station bathroom, a school bus driver is shown smoking a bong, Marge is shown screaming the GD word, among other things. I can't imagine sitting there in a theater next to a 10 year old when the 10 year old is witnessing these scenes.

Pop Culture today is geared at corrupting the children. Not all of it of course. But the ones that do corrupt are really bad. We have video games that glamourize killing, the mob, drug dealers, illegal drag races, fighting, sex, etc. We have music that sings about killing cops, beating women, doing drugs, sex, etc. We have music videos that are just short of being pornos. And then there is the internet full of all kinds of garbage.

The fact that so many kids live in a home that either has both parents working or the only parent working usually means there is no one to counter these influences either at school or after school. It has to be tough. There must be a reason so many kids are shooting up schools, drag racing on streets, having sex and babies at such an early age, joining gangs, etc. right? These sort of things were almost unheard of 50 years ago. So if things are this bad now, imagine what things will be like 50 years from now.

How many of our children do we have to bury, help raise their own children, or visit in jails or hospitals before we say enough? I guess as long as making money is more important then the welfare of our youth this will continue. I pray someday we will see the error of our ways and correct them. Otherwise it doesn't paint a pretty picture for our country's future. God help this country.

Bravo, I agree totally. I don't watch programs full of insults. Or comedy full of insults either. How can people laugh at other people that get hurt? Or blogs that are full of complaints with nothing but insults of a certain race or gender, people jump on the band wagon to support those blogs too? I do appreciate a good joke however, I'm not talking about that. I just don't get it. It's the big bully syndrome or insecurity. It makes the person talking feel good? I don't know. I don't raise my kids that way I can tell you that. Like I said in another blog, all should be equal. All people should be respected and like I mentioned before, they hand out condoms in the schools making it ok for our youth to have sex and teach them that, but can't get them educated enough to get them through their SAT's, what gives? tc Lost

I totally agree.

My son is 14 and he is not allowed to watch the Simpson. That show just promoted juvenile delinquency in my opinion. He is not allowed to play any type of game that promotes violence. He has been taught to respect everyone until they lose that respect, with the exception of adults. There must be respect at all times for adults. I told him that if he thinks an adult loses that respect then he must talk to me about it, and we go from there.

I only work when my kids are in school. In the summer he is with adult supervision that I can trust. And I don't see this changing anytime soon because teens can get into a lot of mischief when not kept an eye on.

Short story: My son and I went to the state fair this past summer. He wanted to play a game so he could win a stuffed animal for his niece. He didn't win, but everyone got some type of prize. When they guy handed him a small plastic frog, my son said "thank you." The man asked him to give the frog back, then in turn handed him a stuffed pig.

The man said that most kids get an attitude when they lose, and when my son said thank you for a plastic toy he decided that he needed rewarded for his good manners. I protested, but the man was adamant. So I let my son keep it.

This compliment made me proud that I made sacrifices to stay home with my son, instead of working for a new game system or other items that my children wanted.

Basic manners and making sure your children are steered in the right direction lasts a lifetime. Those electronic gadgets will last maybe a couple of years.

Parent need to start making better choices. They are our most valuable asset and should be treated as such.

The principles and practices of the political progressives (i.e. liberals).

Mechanisms: political correctness, multiculturalism and the pornification of social morality.

Examples: abortion, homosexuality, gender reassignment, womens liberation, social welfare programs, public funded education, public funded media,...

Result: America dies
