In these days of singletude, I wonder to myself, What sacrifice should I make, To improve my social health?
I seek a girl intelligent, To talk with through the night, Argue politics, faith, astrology, Without the urge to take flight
I seek a girl empathic, That feels anothers pain, Offers out a helping hand, Sheltering from the rain,
I seek a girl natural, Who's happy with herself, No superficial paint or preening, To add to born wealth.
I seek a girl that's loving, More than one man needs, To share with friends & strangers, Or anyone who heeds.
I seek a girl with humour, Can laugh at life around, Find merriment in all things, To keep our minds both sound.
I can't give up my hope, This is my only vice, This girl is out there somewhere, I won't make a sacrifice!
"Such a girl does not exist!" I hear the people moan, "I cannot be satisfied with any less!" I'd rather be alone.
She must be all these things, To set my spirit free, Not to say she's the perfect girl, But only...
Perfect to me.
