OK, hold your breath and close your eyes.
After a whirlwind couple of days we have apparantly, in legal speak, instructed our solicitor. This means that we have set the wheels in motion. That is we are going to be buying our house in the country.
Even writing that makes my heart beat faster.
I spent another hour with my bank manager this morning, and have so much paperwork to go through tonight, I am sure our heads will be spinning come bed time.
The upshot is, that we will hand the paperwok in at the bank in the morning, asking for the mortgage, and that will be step two.
As Jools says, 'This is grown up stuff!'
Indeed.
So, we have just had Christmas Pudding flavoured coffee with gingerbread syrup and fresh saffron buns; just brain food, and after Little Dorrit has finished on TV, we will begin the paperwork.
I'm getting a headache already.
The journey bgins here.
Or at least continues.
