"Fair" distribution of government (tax) dollar$

It's all a matter of priorities.... :

The failed bail out plan for rich CEO's has been approved for 700 billion dollar$....

The war in Iraq has cost so far about 600 billion dollar$... (that would be for the army and assorted beneficiaries who hold contracts in Iraq...)

G.W. Bush has just signed a bill of about 5.7 billion dollar$ for the extension of 7 weeks (yes, seven...) of unemployment insurance payments to the long term unemployed..... (that would be the people...)

If anybody doubted of the priorities of this administration, it's easy to check on the actual numbers....

	Well, what did you expect? We can't have millionaires and billionaires wondering where their next bottle of Chateau Lafitte Rothschild ' 70 is coming from, can we? So naturally the taxpayers must foot the bill. It would be pure scandal to deprive the wealthy of their Lear jets and lavish lifestyles. Doing so would only tarnish the image of the U.S. abroad.

	What if....said $25 billion was given to consumers as rebates on eco-friendly vehicles? Auto makers would be happyish. Consumers would be happyish. Treehuggers would be happyish. Taxpayers would bitch...they always do. :-) 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

	Let us not forget that the democrats control both houses of Congress. President Bush could only sign what the democrats presented to him. Perhaps we might have a quarrel with the democratic congress over unemployment benefits. Have a good day.

President Bush could only sign what the democrats presented 1) the president can (and sometimes did) veto certain bills 2) both houses were not Dem. for 8 years... 3) there are still people who think Pelosi is a democrat... 4) I did not say "the republicans"... I said "this administration".... .

	Maybe a communist like in the former Soviet Union.... Then and there it was said that "all are equal, only.... some are more equal than others..." That would then be those who eat only with golden spoons, and think they are the little fathers (or mothers...) of the people.... .
