Impostor, I say! Parading around, pretending to be jam, when everyone knows it isn't! Talk to Peabianehm if you're a fan. I'm sure he'd be happy to hear your sob story about how marmalade is discriminated against!

It's not about discrimination! The Great Cosmic Muffin created Jam in his image. Then took one seed from the Jam and created...err...more Jam! "Go forth! Spread or be spread!" Then GCM divided the jam's into all the wonderful jams around us...each springing forth from different berry's: strawberry jam, raspberry jam, blueberry jam, blackberry jam, boisonberry jam, and all the other wonderful, and equal, jams of the world!

But marmalade is the great deciever! Made not from berry's! The superficial similarities cannot be used to disprove the existance the GCM! Let these marmalade's take their rightful place, subservient to the rightful caretakers of Bread, Toast, and The Sandwich (the sliced trinity). Certainly, marmalade can be taught simple tricks, like sweatening up a cracker...but no jam in their right mind would consider them related, let alone equal to a jam!

[Well, maybe the person that inspired it. She is an animal at times.]
[I don't think she was harmed though.]
[Nothing that won't heal, I'm sure.]
[Pretty sure.]
[I want my phone call.]

P.S. Thanks to Fenderchick for the inspiration....kinda. Don't get moody on her for all my religious silliness. That was all me.

Aha! So you aren't perfect, Fender! Muahahaha!

I haven't actually had marmalade since I was a wee boy. Not even sure if I like it....just recall the surprise/disgust as a kid when I tasted it. The same sorta surprise/disgust at biting into a delicious chocolate chip muffin "gone bad"....which turned out to be a perfectly good blueberry muffin, also delicious, but not anticipated. Don't think I ever actually gave it a fair chance, and, of course, tastes change. Perhaps, I'll try some, soon.

I'll have to find a restaurant with those little packet thingy's...it'd be a tragedy if I bought a jar of it and didn't like it. It'd end up sitting in my fridge for years....no good, but not bad, either.

Jelly is like bread with the crust cut off, or pulp-free orange juice!

I often wondered, if I PEEL my oranges, grapefruits, etc and THROW the peels in the garbage 'cause heaven forbid I eat them (BLECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) Do marmalade makers search garbage bins for the wares of their works? I mean really...

and Peabianjay, you forgot my fave jam of all Pineapple Peach, homemade by my mom. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm sure it's not a berry but dang it's good on english muffins. (Closely followed by Blueberry Jam.........but I am not going blueberry picking, oh right, I can't. I live in SK now, all we got here is Saskatoons and NO they DON'T taste just like a blueberry...sheesh! )

I LOVE Marmalade.....I enjoy eating all the orange chunks in it. I also love jam, and jelly....However, I use only the Low Sugar or the Sugar-free versions. I'm afraid to taste the others...I'm sure they're delicious.

I can't believe that I just learned that "Mint Jelly" is actually green apple flavored jelly. And, I've used it for years, on lamb.

Anyone ever make homemade Marmalade? I've been tempted.

Peach marmalade...I've eaten a pint recently, single-handed, over the course of a week, it's delicious.
