Tomorrow is your Birthday  . My wonderful daughter gave me a gift more valuable then all the treasures in the world, the gift of watching your birth  . WOW what an amazing honor  . Your Mom and I had so much fun preparing for that special day, lugging our pillows to Lamaze classes  , learning how to puff, puff breathe..freaking out watching the real life birthing films  , me holding back many giggles while peeking out of the corner of my eye seeing her big brown eyes get bigger and her mind working overtime worried if she could do this  Holding her hand to let her know she will be great  And she was  Then we started decorating you little room..way to early..Cleaning, folding and picturing you in all the baby clothes  and redoing it all the next day  so excited to wait  The day is now here  off to the hospital we go  everyone is waiting in the waiting room..excitement is mounting  the nurse comes out and says "she wants her Mom"  I smile because I already knew this I hold on to my Child's hand trying to comfort and ease her pain  . Many hours pass and as another contraction hits she says the funnest things  she grabs my hand and says Breathe Momma Breathe the doctor decides to give her something to relax her as her eyes close I lean over and whisper..Stephanie I am gonna go let everyone know how things are going. She reaches out with a vice like grip and says DONT YOU LEAVE ME!!!! Everything starts moving quickly..I am having so many emotions, happy,excited, scared,thrilled. I now see your little head I am truly amazed shoulders, tiny chest..The Moment of truth..My God has blessed me with my first Grandson  I kiss your Mommas face..we have a baby boy. Our tears run together and I am so blessed to be your Nana  Jarrod you are such a wonderful young man, your kindness and tender heart is our gift in life. Stay this way always. Watching you become a man has brought me such joy. You lift my heart every time you say "I will Always Love You Nana" My beautiful Grandson I wish I were there to celebrate your special day. Always know I love you with every breath I take and you are as close as my heartbeat. Happy Birthday Jarrod may all your dreams come true. Kiss your Momma for giving me an unforgettable gift..You

This was so beautiful butterfly. The love for your oldest grandson and his birth brought back many memories of the birth of my first grandson. Nothing can take the place of the memories of watching your lineage being born healthy and whole. Thanks for sharing.

Ohhhhhhhhh..........Lynn! This sure brings back the time when I was in with my daughter and my first grandchild was born. You've made it feel like it just happened yesterday. But I have to remember that he is sixteen now. My daughter was in no way quiet. She was yelling and crying......I was crying and wishing I could take her pain for her. Why did I feel that way? At the time, that is how I felt. I did not want her to ever hurt in any way. Now? She can have her own pain! She deserves it!...... Just as I did........
