Recently I ran upon a story about the dangers of playing with the Ouija board.. I can relate, as I too have played with a Ouija board which brought many negative results, and opened a door which I should have never opened. First off the Ouija board is NOT a game. It is simply a portal to a negative side, or evil side. I learned this the hard way.

The year was 1967. At that time I was exploring many different things. My wife, Lynn, and I had been married for a little over a year, and had one child. A girl named, Lisa, who was a year old.

Lynn wasn’t as adventurous as I. I was at that time going over the bay into San Francisco, and into the hippy scene. I had just returned from the Monterey Pop Festival which she objected to the crowds and music.

We had just rented a home in Vallejo, CA on Lemon St. The home was a large stucco home with hardwood floors. It also had a full basement, and detached garage, and big back yard.

The home was previously owned by a elderly lady who had grew up in the home, but had no family when she passed away leaving her home to her church.

When we rented the home it was filled with all of her personal possessions in which I later boxed up, and placed in the basement.
All of the furniture I left so we could use them.

One day I was at a variety store, and bought a Ouija board thinking it would be fun..Little did I know what I was about to get into.
My wife started to complain to me that strange things had been happening around the house. The door bell would ring, and when she went to answer, no one would be there. Shadows in the rooms. Things in the bathroom would be moved. This would all occur when I was away from home.

I told my wife about the Ouija board, and told her we should hold a séance to figure out what was going on. She was hesitant, but agreed. We setup the board, and turned off all the lights lighting candles.

I wasn’t exactly sure how it worked, but told her to place her two index fingers on the pointer, and I did the same. If I can remember I asked the board if there was a presents in the room, and it moved to “yes” That freaked me, and I asked Lynn if she had moved it..”No” she said, and I continued. I then asked the entity some more questions in which I forgot, but it quickly answered..Totally freaked, I then asked it’s name, and it gave me a strange name, but also sounded like it could be a real name. A somewhat ancient name. At that point, I was getting a little Leary, and skeptical. I thought this can’t be real.

It was then when I took the next step, and told the board, “If you are real, then give us a sign” Oh my God! I didn’t expect anything, but what I got scared me. All of a sudden there was a loud bang that came right above the living room couch next to the wall. I even saw a flash!..

Lynn, and I sat there in shear terror. We stared at one another afraid to move. After awhile, I reached over and switched the lights on. The next day, I took the board and put it into the garbage.

Since then, My wife has told me she had seen a old woman standing by our daughters bed, and one night not to long after my wife, and I, were in the kitchen doing dishes we heard the TV switching channels..Click, click, click.. Freaked us out. When I went stuck my head out of the kitchen to look into the living room it quit.

It wasn’t long before we moved, and in August of 1968 we moved to Oregon never to forget that house, and the night we played with the Ouija board.. So beware my friends.. Don’t mess with a Ouija board. If you do then you’re inviting a evil present into your life. Another lesson learned.

When I was a teen and living for a spell at my grandfathers home in Waterloo, there was a cute girl next door, and three cute sisters living down the block. Well, the sisters had a Ouija board. Depending on which one of those four were operating the board old Ouija said I was going to marry that one. Well heck, it sounded good to me, I was all for the idea of having a harem back then. Old Ouija lied though cause I never married any of them.
Some years later I tried operating one of those things myself. I'd ask it question but the damn thing wouldn't move. Must be cause I knew it was a liar huh?

I know that there are some who would not believe you, but I know that the spiritual realm is very real. It pays to be very careful what you play with.

Lovin:

Reading your blog, when I got to the point where you described the bang on the wall, the hair on the back of my next stood up and a chill ran through me...I don't know exactly what to think of the spirit world, but I am quite sure there is SOMETHING about it and I certainly don't want to be on the negative side of it.

I too, had a Ouija Board when I was a kid. I remember playing with it...nothing strange ever happened, but I remember always accusing my brother of maneuvering the pointer.. He ALWAYS denied it...Maybe that should have given me a clue as to the spirit world.

I sent you a kudo...wish it could have been two!.

Fondly,
KK

I believe what you wrote here 100%.

...I've never played with one and never will...I do however know people who have and are still scared to this day because of it. The stories they told me are remotely similar to what you've written here. Spooky.

oh boy! i totally agree about the ouija board! when i was in grade school, my mom and a friend played around with one. mom got hold of something on it, who really hated my dad because he was a drunk. things would move in the apt and our dog would sit in front of an empty rocking chair with a ball as if he was waiting to play. eventually the chair would move slightly, like someone had gotten out of it. one night, my dad was sitting on their bed and as he bent over to get his cigarettes the light in the roof swung down and barely missed his head. when the maitenence man showed up, he could not figure out how the light got loose. all the screws were still in light and no tear holes in the roof.

shortly after that my mom was told by the thing that he was a demon named adam and that he wasn't going to talk anymore to her. it upset her a bit, but to tell you the truth, i was relieved. shortly after that, the weird things stopped.

i REFUSE to ever have another one in my home.

One of those things I remember having but would not ever have now. That and palm reading etc.......make me think twice. Seems wrong as if I was inviting evil in. So I steer away from such. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Seems to me that she was just looking over you and not doing you any harm... remember you DID ask ;)

There's nothing wrong with a few ghosts around the house... every older house has a few even if they are just the family pets.

Also, some people attract them more than others. Be glad you are open to things and can experience things that others never will because their minds are closed.

Lovinheart: Okay..........I have goosebumps now. I was hoping never to even hear that word again. Now look what you've gone and done!

I'll give you a kudo anyway......just for sharing your experience.

Happy Thanksgiving! (Trembling smile)....

Ouija boards are not portals. They are just a board til someone 'activates' it. You cannot be using drugs, alcohol or cigarettes if you use one because then your vibrations are low and you will attract lower vibration entities instead of your spiritual crew.

Ouijas are tools, just like money. Money is not evil. It is how you use it that makes it bad. If you do not know what you are doing with a ouija, you are unprotected. Any entitiy that was there was already there and you just were communicating with a lower energy being called a discarnate instead of an angel or a helper or guide.

Discarnates are everywhere. Kind of life fleas. If you are not protected, you can pick them up. Dark, discordant thoughts create what you draw. The two of you were already fearful. That is the worst thing possible you can be if you open a portal.

No offense but most likely you did not open a portal. Probably you connected to the deceased woman that was hanging around the house when you moved in. Since her stuff was still there, she may have stayed due to the attachment to her worldly possessions. Especially if she died in the house.

Writing fear based information is only creating more fear. Now, how is fear going to make anything better? I am not trying to put you down, or anyone else for their beliefs. That board is not made by a sorceror. A machine made it. It is just a piece of cardboard til someone uses their intentions to contact someone. You have to have good intentions to get good connections and have to have high mental, emotional, physical and spiritual vibrations as well.

Hope this dispels some fear for you.

LH, I'll just make a short comment, I found your blog very interesting. Most of the material on here on the blogs, keeps my attention for about one paragraph and yet I hung on with your blog, all the way through. I've used these boards in the past and had a simliar experience. You wanna buy a board game for your kids, try checkers:)lol
