Recently, I have read a lot on here about "this" person or "that" group of people and the bloggers position is that they are right and everyone else is wrong and that you should listen to them even though they spout half-truths or distorted perceptions of the facts to make their point.
What is this all about? All I can figure is that they are trying to stir the pot. They want everyone to hate what they hate, fear what they fear, and think like they think.
In particular, a lot has been said about Islam and the Muslim faith as being a faith of hate and killing and mayhem. Yes, there does seem to be some of that going on in the world. But...take a look at the number of Muslims on this planet and then look at the percentage of them that are commiting these horrific acts...They are extremists! Pure and simple....
I am not a "Muslim lover" or a "Christian hater", so don't go there!
I have friends and business partners that are Muslim. We work together, we play together, we eat and party and laugh together. None of them..not one...not a single one! has ever stated that the Muslim faith requires them to kill me bacause I am a Christian.
They don't try to cheat me because I am a Christian and I deserve it. They deal with me honorably and honestly. As I do them.
Anyone, IMHO, that spouts off that it is the nature and edict of Islam that Muslims kill Christians is doing no more than creating hatred so they can get others to be as petty as they are themselves.
I Would say.."Shame on you" but I know it would be lost on them. What I will say is this...If you are the example of what a good Christian is, then somebody needs to put you out of your misery. But until you go and you have to answer to your God about your hateful behavior...just leave the rest of us out of it...we know better and we aren't buying your BS!

 First rule of forums... nothing the other person says is any good coz everything the superegos say is right lol...
Second rule of forums... if you disagree with what someone says, you are deluded and a very hard lesson is going to befall you lol...
Remember high school delinquency?  Same procedure.
Remedy: do not partake of peacing competitions heheh.

murdered by-- you guessed it-- Muslim male extremists.
The majority of Muslims in this country are, for all outward appearances, peace loving.
BUT.... you cannot deny that acts of terrorism are carried out every day in the name of Islam by Muslim extremists.
Not hate mongering, just facts. Will you print the facts??

Slohand,,I agree and acknowledge that these things are happening...but...not you, or I, or anyone else in their right mind can blame "Islam" for this.
Most..and I mean 99.99999% of all Muslins are peace loving people. These "extremists" are just that....EXTREMISTS...and whether anyone wants to admit it or not, most of this uproar is political, not religious. Think about it...if I say to you.."Hey..see that guy over there..he hates your leaders becasue they won't do what he wants"...you going to say..."So what..who cares!"
but...
If I say.."Hey, see that guy over there. He hates your God and he wants to take your God away from you!"....ok...now your pissed and this is personal!!!
Islam is being used as a means to an end in many circumstances, not all, but many.
Many of the peole that are walking into a hotel or a store or market place with a bomb under their shirt are being forced to do so, either by threat of death to their family or children or by some other blackmail.
One thing that many people forget or may not know...many Muslims that are being used in this fight, can't read. They have no idea what that Qu'ran says about anything. They must rely on their religious leaders to guide them. If their religous leader is a radical, then they will be radicals because they are being told what to think.
I also think that if you, or anyone else wnt and lived amoung Muslim people as I have, you would find that they are gracious, hospitable, friendly people that are not trying to do anything but earn a living and raise theri families and get along in a peaceful world, much as you or I are trying to do. If all Muslims wanted all Christians to be killed, I would not be here to write this. I lived and worked in a Muslim country for many years and most of the time, I was the only non-Muslim in the city!...so kiilling me off would have been easy for any of the over 1,000,000 Muslims that lived there.
In closing...to say that all Muslims are wanting to kill all Christians has the same accuracy that saying all white people want to wipe all black people off the map. It just ain't so! ....but this debate will go on and on because there is will always be someone on either side that wants to drag religion into a political squabble or just wants to spout biased opinions and call them facts.

OP....I like what you have to say....(your profile had me chuckling, too). Sometimes I feel that wise words like yours, will possibly fall on blind eyes. I hope not.
I am currently studying Islam in college courses and learning that what you have said here is "right on".....We are viewing many videos and reading many reports on this subject and, it's upsetting to plainly see how much the media is at fault for not reporting the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I also feel Muslims treat Christians with kindness, however, we are still "People of the book" to them and are not able to enter Eternity in their eyes, or in other words are not an equal to a Muslim. So no matter how you care to slice it, we will never be an equal and they feel we do not deserve the right to see God, or their Allah or whomever they consider God. Therefore we are a lessor of a person on this planet than any Muslim, no matter how nice they are to us. At least that is what I have been told by my Muslim friends who have been open to me about it.
