I guess I will never understand what motivates people to do these things? Are material possessions really what everyone is after? And this man had to know that if there is a 26 year old woman interested in him at 74, something is rotten somewhere... if ya get my drift...
I don't know where greed leaves off and evil picks up.. but I think this is the fine line between.

It is ironic that at the abundant banquet of life, most poor suckers are starving or trying to buy what should be had for free, but this just is the epitome of "I want everything and if I have to get rid of you to have it.. so be it".
What you value, protect or work at will eventually take on a life of its own and give back to you that which you have put in. Get real about the progress, priorities and quality of your love life, domestic situation or standard of living. Above all, keep it simple and don't worry about what other people do.
I would have thought that if you were so in love with someone once upon a time, it would not be that easy for you to get the mindframe where you dream of offing that person.. doesn't that love you felt have some roots and wouldn't it pop into your mind once in a while.. OR MAYBE NOT....
