Well... it will be a week tomorrow since I had surgery. They removed several lymph nodes that were cancerous and are confident that this will be the last of it for me. I pray and trust that it is.. This surgery was extremely difficult for me. I just had one in July that turned out to be for nothing.. so when they said this one had to happen I really was not sure I wanted to do it... But I did, I did because I have a daughter to raise, a life to live and I am not ready to give up. Even though my chances were good without the surgery they are great with the surgery.

So I have a 6 inch scar on my neck with a few others from previous surgeries.. to most I probably look like a freak, most days I feel I am a freak. But today I am alive and I am very thankful for those scars because they show that I am alive, I am fighting and I am strong.

I am thankful to the friends I have made that prayed for me and gave me comfort and support in my time of need. To know that all you have to do is reach out and there are many people willing to open their hearts for you is totally amazing and so very precious.

Tonight, I am grateful.
