So I finally know what is REALLY meant by "Don't drop the soap!" I totally did drop it this evening. One of the corners got bashed into a sharp edge, and as I dragged the soap down my arm I was rather unsettled to see it has actually left a rather nasty scratch in its wake. Who really looks at a bar of dropped soap and says to themselves "I'd better let thant edge melt down a bit because it could very well injure me." If you do, just don't even admit it because that's just ultra weenie. Now granted this IS the cleanest wound I've ever received, it's still unpleasant.
And I would just like to say that I have one of the coolest co-workers in the universe. This lady is 87 years old and jams all day to the local rock station. She's the sweetest little thing in the universe, gives me recipes and knits and bakes, then comes to work and listens to Pearl Jam and Metallica. I didn't even know this until over teh summer when I was goin about my business and heard her changing the radio station. It HAD been set to talk radio, but it seemed she didn't like the person who was talking, so I figured she'd find something calm and grandmaish. When I realized the dial had stopped turning I noticed the song was "Black hole sun". I commented "Oh wow, I love that song." To which this dear little old lady says "Me too!" So, I've made up my mind. The next time I get tickets to an awesoem concert, I'm inviting her to go with me. I bet she'd encourage me to get a concert venue tattoo. That'd be freakin sweet.
