The rain beats on my bedroom window keeping time with my heart as it goes on I know that there will be a rainbow when the sun peeks out from the clouds. Everything washed new. A new year will be around the corner and I wonder what it will bring, happiness, relationships, marriage, family good friends and togetherness. I know now that I have to be alone to make me understand togetherness and to realize what being alone really means. I have a strong need to see dreams happen, not just for me but for others as well. It has been hard on me to shut the door on this chapter of my life I seem to pull a piece of thread of my past under the closing door and hang on to it for dear life. I guess I feel if I pull a big enough piece of thread I can make a blanket out of it to keep me warm when I feel cold or lonely. Its just hard letting go. I use to love the holidays, running around in the cold air feeling it bite your face and chap your lips, and laughing watching kids run from store to store telling Mom and Dad what to tell Santa. Guess allot of single people are feeling the same way..I miss my girls and my grandchildren..and being alone on the holidays is kinda hard. Don't get me wrong im very happy seeing others happy together its just that dang it I want someone putting his arm around me keeping me warm as we run from store to store picking out just the perfect gifts. Well should you see Santa..tell him I have been pretty good most of the year..and there is a little time left right? So I will start being extra good.. and just maybe..well ya never know because he does listen

First of all, Lynn...............I LOVE the new pic! 
It's hard to tell the kids what I really want for Christmas!  Don't think they could help me out there anyway.......
But yes! 2009 is fast approaching. New year...........new life? One never knows.

awwww butterfly that was beautiful i get lonesome at times myself even though i have my son his wife and the grandbabies, its just not the same as havin that special someone that wants to be with you and not expect anything else if ya know what i mean, i think if i had to go thorugh what i have been through with my ex i had rather be here where im wanted and needed.

Well should you see Santa..tell him I have been pretty good most of the year..
Being good is a chore for many, they are all grown up adults, but it is like pulling teeth for them to be good, they are like little kids trying to be good for 5 minutes thinking that is all they have to do to be liked, to be loved, to get presents LOL...It comes to you naturally and Santa knows and we know!
Take in the sun peeking out of the clouds, the everything washed anew, the unknowns of what the new year will bring, the threads you cherish, the joy you see in others.......that is what fills your heart.
The rest will come, we never know when.
A couple of friends passed this on to me about a year ago.
It helped me at a time that I had sort of lost direction, I hope you enjoy it.
You can make plans, but you can't plan the results.
Yes, pretty obvious, but it stuck a chord that day

Beautiful Lynn, but then your blogs are always from the heart and you have a beautiful heart. If you see Santa, please tell him I have been good as well. Run to that one who wants to put his arms around you and enjoy the rest of this year and the holidays. You just might make some memories of your own and give yourself a bigger thread to make that blanket.
