Honest, I did not make this letter up. It just came from Buymeadrink, who presents herself also as a female preacher in Alexandria, LA. Yeh! Right!

Certainly amusing but...
We all get letters like this (if not this exact one). It certainly appears to be a scam letter...there is little doubt....but is "little" enough? What if (as unlikely as it may be) this person really went through those hardships? It'd be cruel and incentive to ridicule their letter on an open forum.
Probably best to just delete & ignore.
After all, if ya can't say something nice....

Yup, you're right....you COULDN"T make one like this up.....The problem with something like this is, (and I get this type from men, too), that there's a fine line between a possible scammer and someone who is one slice less than a loaf of bread and there's no real way of knowing in just a first letter.
That's why I, sometimes, let a couple of emails pass before I report and block. Did you reply to this one? Sometimes you can catch on well just by reading their profile...you can often tell that it "speaks" just like they do, OR that they "borrowed" it from someone with a Graducate Degree???
Wow, now I'm gonna have to stop calling you "sweetie" or you might think I'm a scammer...

Don't you love these kinds of letters?
The thing that I've noticed, is they're getting better with their English...now that means trouble. If it wasn't for the inclusion of their Yahoo addy we wouldn't be able to tell.

i also get these everyday have had to change
my profile/headline is has helped a lil
but mine are usally from like guys that are in their 20s
they ont send a message hell they write me a book
this one guy wrote the same book four times i finlally
marked him as spam
