1/4/05 Update: I married the nice lady that I mentioned being exclusive with! We were married in June, after dating six months. Things are going very well. To those of you who are looking for love on this site, keep the faith and don't let your preconceived ideas about your perfect mate keep you from dating some of these nice people. You just never know.
1/04 Update: I'm currently seeing someone from this site, and we have agreed to "date exclusively". I think that means we are going steady, that or I just inadvertantly agreed to only see OTHER people. ;) Please pray for this poor girl. I'm reasonably intelligent (college grad) and down to earth (small town boy). I have two great daughters, one in college and one in second grade. They stay with me every other weekend. Well, the college kid you never know about because of her social schedule. :)
I enjoy some unusual hobbies, including bowyering (making wooden archery bows), winemaking and brewing, cheesemaking and soapmaking (sometimes you can't tell which is which). I like hunting/fishing, archery tournaments, bowling, camping, and black powder rendezvous. I like plants although my collection is down to a few hardy cactus now. I enjoy golf and tennis, but haven't played either of them much lately, so you might just win but not if I can help it.
I like to check out antique shops and flea markets, I collect woodworking tools and cast iron pieces. I was a cook at a few nice restaurants in high school/college, so I know my way around a kitchen. I like cultural stuff in small doses. TV-wise, I mostly watch sports, Discovery or Fox News when I'm home (which isn't too often). I like a lot of music, grew up on rock, enjoy jazz, blues, bluegrass, and more recently country. I am a bad dancer but will give it a shot after a couple of beers, like to slow dance of course. I'm a low carb eater, I try and run a couple of miles a day and do a little weight training. |
