Got out of the Air Force in 2002, but still miss it very much. I am a very military-minded woman so I understand how it is to be in the military. I grew up a military brat, as well.
Moved to Anchorage from Pomona (LA County), California. I like Anchorage a lot, but I feel more comfortable in California. Maybe someone can show me around Anchorage and get me to fall in love with this place?
I am currently attending college; major in Aerospace Engineering, and minor in Nursing; I also want to get my AS Degree/Certificate in Emergency Medical Services (I want to become a Firegihter/Paramedic, or work in the medical scene if the aerospace engineering thing doesn't fall through).
Some hobbies of mine include: sports (football, baseball/softball, volleyball, soccer), horseback riding, talk on the phone, work out, dance (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, tap, and theater), photography, and cruise around in a nice car. I like to cuddle up with a guy that I like and watch a movie on the couch. I'm horrible at telling jokes, but make that up by being an excellent listener.
I currently work 3 jobs, which I love, so I'm very busy all the time.

Looking for something platonic at the moment... maybe more later on. I'm just looking for someone to hang out with and talk to right now.
I guess I would really like to meet a nice military guy between the age of 21-30. Just because there wouldn't be anything interesting for me to talk with a civi about unless he knows, thinks, eats, drinks, and sleeps the military the way I do. It doesn't matter which branch you are in, but if you're Air Force it would be a total bonus. My guy would need to know where he wants to go and what he wants in life.
He has to know how to have fun and relax, and have a great sense of humor... I have a really tacky/weird/dorky sense of humor, so someone who could appreciate or is as dorky would be really nice. I work in healthcare, and often under very stressful situations.
I don't expect my guy to give me presents or flowers unless he really wants to; I would really prefer a hug or a nice conversation. Realistic "things" goes a long way than materialistic things.
I hate guys that are only into getting laid, full of drama, or BS a lot. To me, that's totally a sign of insecurity, and it's a total turn-off. I like a guy who will resepct me for who I am, and respects my decisions that I make in life. To sum it all up, I want a guy who is loyal (#1), smart/intelligent, strong, affectionate, and patriotic. |
