I live in Charleston, SC area. I lived in California for 20 years and moved back to my hometown of Orangeburg, SC in 2000. I purchased property around Charleston in 2007 and moved in December.
I was married for 31 years ... separated for the last three of those years, and divorce will be final in mid-December 2009.
I love music but don't play an instrument. If I were to learn an instrument, it would be the clarinet, a wonderfully versatile instrument. I learned to appreciate the clarinet when I began enjoying Philip Glass and the Philip Glass Ensemble.
I cut my musical teeth in the late 60s and early 70's on such groups as Pink Floyd, MC5, Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes, Spirit, Traffic, Mountain, and Grand Funk Railroad. What use to be acid rock is now called Classic Rock - GO FIGURE!
I am an easy going, mature man. On occassion, the fairer sex calls me a Southern Gentleman. Maybe it's because I open doors, seat the lady at the table, and stand when they excuse themself and return. ISN'T THIS A GIMME - Doesn't every man do this?
I enjoy pedicures, NHRA, working with PCs, and science - particularly astronomy and physics. I love seafood, salads, hamburgers, people watching, intelligent conversation, and cookouts. Green is my favorite color. My idea of camping is sleeping outdoors on the balcony at an Embassy Suites Hotel.
