I originally joined MatchDoctor to scope the possibility of finding a man I could so much as “connect with.” I was hoping to find someone at least rather close to home in order to get to know each other by first communicating on-line, going to lunch, dinner, or special events held in town now and then, but this hasn't happened. First of all, I am very selective about with whom I spend my time. That does not mean I don't like people it merely means I don't feel I need to “hang out" with someone just because I happen to know and like them "well enough" (male or female).
I'm still single, but my purpose for participating in MatchDoctor has changed. I went through some serious health issues this past year and have shared much of the journey with friends here to offer testimony to the power of prayer. If I just happen to meet "Mr. Right" in the process, it would be great. In the meantime, I am known to cancel my membership in MD off & on mainly due to time constraints I impose in order to improve my personal productivity.
The only way to get to know me is by reading my blogs (past as well as current), my original profile and through personal e-mails. It would take a good long while to communicate with me any other way than through MD, so it is of no use to send me a request to IM or contact you any other way. As mentioned before I am quite selective, mainly due to the time I feel it requires to really get to know someone.
In the past I have tried to respond to most e-mails. As much as I would like to now, I simply cannot. Please understand. Please do not take it as a personal affront if I do not respond to “friend requests” or winks. By the way - some times I do.
