'm currently studying Linguistics and German at New Mexico State University. After I finish here, I intend to pursue a PhD and eventually become a professor. I would like to emigrate to Europe eventually.
So far my experience with online dating has been limited to asexual sites. I want to forewarn anyone reading this that I am asexual, (ie. my libido is extremely low) and that is not likely to change. I realize that I have just excluded approximately 95% of the population, but I firmly believe in being honest and open about potential deal-breakers.
Now that I've got the obligatory disclaimer out of the way, I'll tell you a little bit about myself and my interests. My hobbies include crochet, reading, and swimming. I am a great lover of books; my favorite author is Oscar Wilde. I don't watch much TV (I currently don't own a TV -- I just use my computer if I want to watch a show). I like Star Trek (Spock is my favorite character), Firefly, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I dislike Star Wars because I felt the character development left much to be desired.
Religiously, I am firmly agnostic, but have adopted some Buddhist practices and beliefs. Politically, I am very liberal.
My taste in music is best defined as "anything but rap." I especially like metal, folk music, and folk metal. I am a cat lover (as indicated by my name). I used to be terrified of dogs, but have recovered from that phobia (something in which I take great pride). However, I still prefer cats.
Even though I am asexual, I am still quite fond of hugs and cuddles. I tend to think and love with my head rather than my heart.
