Hey, I'm Chris.
I'm flawed, I'm human, I'm man. I'm not the typical man, in that I'm no dog/player or some needy/clingy, overly-obsessed jerk. I get jealous, but not in the bad way: I want a girl to know that I feel she's important enough to me, for me to feel threatened that I'd lose her. I'm okay with her having male friends, as long as they know not to cross the line, and as long as she's someone I know I can truly trust to be faithful to me. I've never ever cheated on a girl, in my entire life, and I never will. My loyalty IS "legendary". I have a strong sense of justice and honor, so I live by certain morals and standards. I believe in being a gentleman and in taking care of my special someone.
I love to joke around and make people laugh, so if you ever get in tight with me, we're bound to eventually have in-jokes of our own. :)
I may look or even seem like I'm a sincere/serious guy a lot of the time, but I promise you that I'm always looking for some way to break the ice, so that I can make you laugh somehow - even if I can only get a smirk or grin off of you, for the day. Hey, I'll take whatever I can get! :)
Charlie Chaplin once said that "A day without laughter is a day wasted.". I'm paraphrasing that, of course, and I'm hoping my source is correctly cited, but I agree with those words, wholeheartedly.
I've got my flaws, like everyone else. I'm not perfect, and sure as heck don't want someone who thinks she is. If you're the future love of my life, I guarantee you that ALL of your imperfections will make you perfect to me, in my eyes, because I'll know that you'll love ME, unconditionally, in return.
If you're gonna love me, you're gonna have to love me for who I am, and for what I'm willing to do, just to be with you. My love is unconditional and eternal, as long as you love me in the same way. :)

I currently work at a CVS Pharmacy to make ends meet. My career choice, however, is to join the United States Navy, when I'm fully prepared to take that route in life.
I'm 30 years old now, and I have until I'm 34 before I'm "too old" to enlist, at least. I place a lot of importance on work, in the general sense. I can't stand to be unemployed, and feeling like my productivity is at a standstill. Unemployment is the kind of thing that makes me feel helpless and useless, as I wait for days or even weeks for the phone to ring with good news from job prospects. It also forces me to watch AND keep up with the crappiest shows on TV that you'd normally NEVER care to even give the time of day. LOL
If I ever hit the jackpot with the lottery, and was filthy, stinkin' rich, I'd still have to have a job, just to feel productive, and for the enjoyment of working with other people, and serving the public. :)
Hmmm... If I were SO rich that I'd never have to worry about bills and my overall, general needs, I'd probably work a fun job somewhere, like at a bowling alley or something like that. I'm not a drinker, but I always thought I'd make an awesome bar tender 0 like in a club or something. lol
Anyway, to me, work's important. In college, I learned to work to live, and NOT to live to work. I'm not a greedy man, by any means, but I REALLY cannot stand moochers, in general. My best friend and my siblings are somewhat moochy, but only my closest loved ones get to be forgiven, millions and millions of times over for that. haha

My idea of a great date is when you both decide on where you wanna go and what you wanna do, and have everything happen just as you'd both love for it to, AND be pleasantly surprised by having unexpectedly greater things happen for the two of you, in addition to what is planned. For instance, have you ever been SO in the mood to go out to a restaurant and have a certain dish that you've been craving, for no apparent reason, and once you had your meal and enjoyed it, it turned out to be EVERYTHING that you wanted and it gave you such a great feeling of satisfaction and actually made you feel "complete"...? lol
Yeah, I'm making a "Harold and Kumar" ("Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" reference, but as cheesy as it may sound, I have actually experienced such a feeling, firsthand. lol
Seriously, I had gone to Longhorn Steakhouse a few months ago and had the legendary 20 oz. "Longhorn" steak, and it was such a delicious meal, that it satisfied me, almost to the point of tears - tears of happiness! lol
Well, it really did put a smile on my face, and throughout the entire meal, bite after bite, I kept letting out one sigh, after another, displaying just how much I loved the meal. No, I don't always have to have a 20-something dollar steak to make me happy. I can get the same way with a simple burger from Jack In The Box, or a chicken club salad, or even a basic sandwich I'd make at home. lol
I don't always have to have meat in my meals, which is a good, healthy thing, of course. a slice of cheddar cheese with some Miracle Whip on wheat bread can be okay by me, as well. lol
I'm easy to please, when it comes to food, so just so you'll know, you don't have to be the perfect gourmet cook for me to love ya. ^_~

I want to meet a girl who's TRULY someone who wants to love and BE loved, and who will honestly not cut and run at the first sign of things getting even minutely, mildy difficult. I want to meet a girl whom I'd just click with on so many levels, and who knows that love is far more important than her pride. I want someone who'll stcik with me through the thickest of the thickest, and the thinnest of the thinnest. I don't want a drama queen who's constantly irrational and too stubborn to listen to reason - especially when I'm on HER side, 100%. lol
I want a girl who'll love me for who I am, and for the morals and standards that I do my best to live by, and who'll truly understand that no one's perfect. I want someone who'll not mistaken the strength of my love for her as me being "stifling" or even mistaken my "need" to just be with her as me being "needy" or "clingy".
When I'm in love, I give her my heart, completely, and the more loved she makes me feel, the happier I am, as a person, and in my life, in general. Love is actually MY aphrodisiac, probably. LOL
I don't want someone who's selfish, and on that same note, I ADORE a girl who has a really kind, generous, selfless heart. Arrogance and disrespectful behavior, along with bad etiquette are huge turn-offs for me. I do my best to conduct myself like a gentleman should, but I can cut loose and have fun like anyone else. My best friend thinks of me as a "goody-two-shoes", but I'm no super saint or anything. I have a strong sense of justice, and hate thieves, liars, and cheaters. I'd love to mneet a girl with the same interests as me, but I don't want her to be too much like me. The differences between us give me more room to grow on ya, and help me appreciate the ways, in which you'd be stronger where I'm lacking, and vice versa. I love movies and music. I love open-minded people or are also open-hearted. :) |
