Me: 31 year old professional with a cube job. College educated. Former graphic designer. (Will always be an artist at heart) I love to paint and draw, but usually give my work away to friends. I'm Intelligent, sarcastic, humorous, and creative. Love exploring new places, learning new things, and making random observations. (Particularly ones making fun of everyday life)
I enjoy checking out the local music scene (there's just something about the vibe of the crowd at a small venue show) as well as bigger acts, wine and beer tasting, browsing art, local dives (love locally owned restaurants and pubs). I'm always reading something now that I am finally out of school and can read for pleasure again. (Anything you can recommend?) I love independent film (watching and discussing afterwards) IMDB.com is my good friend. NPR, oh how I love you more everyday. (Particularly, This American Life)
I'm a bit of a grammar nerd and regularly look up words I don't know in the dictionary. (By the way: "R" and "U" are letters and "are" and "you" are words... please use them accordingly) I enjoy writing (but rarely let anyone read my work) and I’m saddened by the de-evolution of the English language into "text speak".
To me a perfect day would include sleeping in, heading out to a dive breakfast joint, spending the afternoon hunting out a little local shop or antique mall we've never been to before, or making a list of interesting houses that are for sale, and driving around like it's a treasure hunt just to find them and admire the architecture. Then heading out to find "that little taqueria on the west side" we keep hearing about just to see if it really lives up to the rave reviews. The evening would include sharing beers with good friends on a street-side patio. |
