I like to think I'm a fun person & comfortable to be around. I like to do lots of exploring, especially old places, small towns, big cities, abandoned buildings, ghost towns, etc. I live in the "inner city". I like to get out of town. I like to go to bars & see bands, or just hang out at interesting dives or diners & talk. I'm not into dancing or discos usually, but I love "mod scene" clubs. I love to dress up, especially vintage clothing...`60s mostly. I like to live in the past I missed out on as much as possible, but no hippie stuff, that's not my thing. I take care of myself as much as possible without being obsessive (and I expect the same in my men). I like old tv shows, Psychotronic movies, and playing on old playgrounds with dangerously high swings & slides. I like to go out to eat. I love drive-in movies, and like seeing plays, too. Even high school ones! Just to do something different.
I like a lot of types of music, I just don't relate to jazz, rap, or new country stuff, so I don't enjoy it at all. I mainly listen to `60s garage-rock and punk, Rockabilly, Britpop (especially Radiohead & Oasis), Motown, Matthew Sweet, Neil Young and Sonic Youth. I'm affectionate but it has to be someone special, and they have to think I'm special too! I think casual sex relationships are stupid and a waste of valuable time, there is so little time free for fun as it is, and I don't want to waste it on someone I don't really like. I don't want to have kids, by the way, so disqualify me if that's what you want in the future...I already have one in Jr. High. He needs a male role model, so if you don't consider yourself one, then you should look elsewhere for dates I guess. | I'm a brokerage compliance officer and also assist some advisors. I am serious about work but don't do overtime and prefer not to do weekends. I don't work nights because I need to be there for my son. Like most people, I wish I didn't have to work because there never seems to be enough time for things! I am not worried about making a lot of money or being rich, but I want to be able to afford to drive, buy clothes if I need them, and go out once a week with adults! It would be nice to travel. I am looking for a better job right now, I work for a small company that can't offer benefits or pay me what I'm really worth. |

| my idea of a great date: |
(A first date): A date with a guy who would meet me dressed nicely (not too dressy but not sloppy) and take me to an atmospheric dinner where we could talk about each other's interests, etc, to see what we had in common. If we had some things in common, we could go to a lounge after dinner and have some drinks. Hopefully he would have a good sense of humor so we could laugh and get each other's jokes. There would be no political talk or talk of sexual experiences. He would be observant enough to tell if we had enough common interests to ask me out again.
(a date with someone I already know I like): I like to do different things, not just go out to eat, or to the bar every time. He'd be open to and suggest more interesting activities than the same old thing. Weeknights are fine to hang out and watch movies, but one night a weekend you should get out, even if it's only to a park. |

Ideally: Close to my age, but still acts young, but not immature. I love tall guys with brown eyes & dark hair, but personality comes first. The man I'm with needs to have a good sense of humor and not afraid to be outgoing or "embarass" themselves. I like someone down to earth, but not so down to earth that hygiene is forgotten. Take care of your hair, body, and teeth. I want to meet someone who shares my interests and wants to do things, even though it's fun to lay around & do nothing sometimes. If I have a boyfriend, I hope he likes sex..with me, that is! I won't tolerate a cheater who is involved with someone else as well as with me. Please don't get involved with me if you are still in love with someone else, ok? And don't try to date me if you are married or "seperated" from your spouse. I want to have fun & hopefully meet my "soul mate" eventually, although I don't know how much chance there is of that.
I really like people who don't fit in the mainstream look, on thier offtime,at least. I want to be with someone who is really who they seem to be. Please have a profile online; I don't want to have to drag it out of you, and please be honest. I've had too many friends who are not. Just say what's on your mind, and if i don't like it- too bad- at least I know enough up front to make a informed decision, please respect yourself and me enough to do that. I really don't like guys who smoke a lot of pot...I've had bad experiences there. I like to party, but too much is not good.
