I'm new to computer dating (and may be better at dating than at the computer.) I don't lie about my age, because no one believes I'm 70 anyway. I'm looking for a younger, active man whose spunk and energy matches mine. My interests vary so I'm sure to enjoy almost any outing. (It's not where you are, it's who you're with.) However, I'm not into golf, tennis, motorcycles or hang gliding.
I've been told I'm beautiful, but modesty tells me to settle for "attractive" and let YOU be the judge. People seem to enjoy my sense of humor and I seek that in my companion.
Thoughtful, sensitive, compassionate..they may be cliches, but they are important to me. I don't smoke and the smell of tobacco on someone's breath or clothing is offensive to me. I don't drink much simply because the drinks I like are sweet and fattening..And, I find life full of fun without interference from alcohol.

Two grown, happily married children..a daughter and a son. They are busy with their lives and bringing up my precious grand daughters. One lives locally and visits with the other and her family are shared in both locations.

Before 911 I traveled the world with groups of tourists as an Independent Tour Manager, assisting them to enjoy the wonders this world has to offer. The world is a wondrous place.
My first profession was a Legal Secretary and after the birth of my children I became an Independent and worked for various lawyers as their workload dictated.
I spent several summers with my children, working at "summer camps" so my children could have that experience. I was "Aunt Mommy" for 2 glorious months in the summer...a great respite from being the sole caregiver to them. That's where I became a Bus driver and truck driver....and, of course, that led to additional careers as bus and truck driver and writer. Such great experiences that I had to write about them.
In my "spare" time between travel assignments, I was a product demonstrator in supermarkets...I was the lady who handed you crackers and cheese..or a cookie to taste . In my years in Hawaii, I worked for a temporary job agency and drove rental cars back and forth in the most spectacular scenery from Hilo to Kona, on the Big Island.
Now that I'm retired, I mainly do what I like to do...sewing, knitting, crochet, quilting, painting, volunteering. I'm active, interested in people and places...and obviously, writing and talking. I enjoy watching my grand daughter ride, and "show" at area Horse Shows.
During the tourist season, when the Snowbirds are here in Florida, we have wonderful adventures all dressed up in our purple outfits and our silly Red Hats. I'm the Queen Mum.
Yes, it might be nice to walk along a beach, holding hands, watching a sunset, but, although we have beautiful sunsets, alas, no beach near me. When the right man finds me, we shall find a beach, and do that, too.
It would be great fun to wander around with an RV and re-discover many of the wonders we have in the U.S., & elsewhere. |

There are too many to mention..A first date that would bring me back for more might be sitting across from a smiling, attentive man who is interested in my every (well, maybe not every) word, his eyes not darting back and forth as people go by. He opens the car door for me, treats me like a lady...selects the usage of his language and is open and honest with me, allowing me to know his inner thoughts and feelings. Spelling is NOT a factor. (I have a son with two degrees and HE has to use Spellcheck.)
There are many opportunities for GREAT dates, but I know that any date can be great..if it's with the person with whom you have chemistry and interest. I'm not willing to narrow it down to any particular scenario., but it sure would be wonderful if he is a dancer or would enjoy learning, so that he could put his arms around me while we dance.
Fishing is a fun date. I even bait my own hook, and don't get seasick.. And I sure can cook whatever we catch. Don't like the idea of swimming with alligators, but in a pool is just great.
If the price of gasoline ever goes down, it would be fun to ride around, enjoying the beauty of the area, exploring antique shops, pretty gardens, and other interesting sights.. In addition, a great date would also involve any ideas he has, because it's a sharing of our time, and the important thing is that we enjoy being together.

I think I've pretty much spelled it out in the paragraphs above. I've discussed me, but it's only natural that I'm seeking an individual who, maybe not having all my traits, sees them, respects them and is captivated enough by them to believe he could enjoy sharing himself with me longterm. He should want to spend time with me, but know that he may have his independence to follow his own interests....we should not be joined at the hip. But, when joined, it will be a monogamous relationship.
Hopefully he will have the energy and spunk that equals mine and that he will enjoy going and doing as much as he will enjoy simply relaxing around home, sipping a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper, or grilling dinner for ourselves and perhaps a few friends.
It's a plus if he loves animals. I've always been around them and would love to continue with household pets, but it would not be a deal breaker.
I want my man to be romantic, loving, warm and sensuous.....even when I'm busy cooking or cleaning. Nothing in my life will be more important than his attention and appreciation of me. He will surely know how I will appreciate him.
Life is so much simpler at our age and I would hope that we would share the simple household duties so that they would be taken care of in the minimum amount of time, enabling us to spend more time having fun. We've earned that privilege.
Family is important to me and, hopefully, there will be loving family around for both of us to visit and enjoy spending time with.
I'm a happy, outgoing lady with a great sense of humor and I look at life in a very positive way. I don't need to list all the usual traits that we all want our significant other to possess, because, unless we both have most of them, we simply wouldn't be attracted to each other.
And, oh yes, maybe he would enjoy being in charge of taking out the garbage. |
