I relocated to Birmingham recently after taking a new job. I'm originally from Columbus, Ms. Hopefully I can meet new people and make new friends. I'm open to friends or anything of the sort. Just someone to hang out with and have a good time with. Maybe more as time goes on if there is a mutual connection. I'm fairly easy going and I know when to be serious when the time comes but I love to laugh and am not hard to please. Going out to eat, for a ride, a walk, somewhere to hang out is fine with me. I'm not into clubbing at all because you can't get to know anyone in that enviroment.
Thats pretty much the same thing I'm looking for in someone. Someone who likes to laugh, likes to have a good time in most any situation, likes to be who they truly are, wants to be open and honest, caring, kind and considerate.
I don't have much for material things and a bad opinion of the trivial/shallow minded. I enjoy life for the simple things and not the rat races that most others do. I'd rather spend my life enjoying it with someone instead of going from one person to another in an endless search. Time for something new and new people. And............ |

I moved to Alabama a year ago from Mississippi to take a new job. I've never moved away from my hometown before so this has been interesting. There's lots to do here and its alot nicer than MS. So far I have enjoyed the experience for the most part. But not knowing much of anyone has been a pain. Its hard to get established being an "outsider." I have a love hate relationship with this site and am on here yet again........ *sigh*
Some of my hobbies/interest include photography (something I do alot of in my spare time), road trips, fishing, camping, going places I've never been, reading, guitar playing, writting, railfanning (just ask, I'll explain lol), to state parks, movies, cooking, music (I have an eclectic tase in it but I despise rap), anything that has to do with the beach or river and a few other things.
I love to laugh and have a sarcastic sense of humor sometimes. There's a way to love to laugh and have fun and know when to be serious. You can't take life too seriously but you can't be flipant about it either. Moving here has been the best experience for me in the sense of going out on a limb...a BIG LIMB. I've found that when I didn't think I could do something I actually could and proving yourself wrong in a good way is a great feeling. Right now I am just looking for friends. I came out of a serious relationship a few months ago and have tired of dating. Taking a break on trying to find the "One that God has out there for all of us." Besides, you can't be lovers if not friends first. |
