| It's been a really long time since I went dancing, and it's one of my favorite things to do, so I think that would be my number one choice for an evening out, and whether it was denim and boots or diamonds and tails would be completely up to him! A couple of drinks and dancing to almost every song til my feet hurt and I was out of breath!! Afterwards, perhaps a cup of expresso at a quiet table for two in a darkened corner or with someone I know much better, a moonlight stroll, holding hands and talking. If we lived together, I'd probably be just as happy with cuddling in bed and talking at home after the dancing with a cup of hot chocolate instead, as long as the evening was for just the two of us. During the day, I'd probably choose a picnic for two in a quiet spot at the park, lying on my back with my head on the shoulder of that special someone, pointing out animals and shapes in the clouds overhead or even in the branches of the tree we were sitting under, and fighting my furry herd off of the food!! And if it rained? A sheet over the kitchen table makes a quiet little spot for a candlelight picnic, with a blanket and pillows on the floor!! We'll talk some, and I'll rub his back and he'll rub mine, and then... Well, if I know him that well, he already knows what comes next! Or we could sit in front of the fireplace and watch a movie he's been wanting to see for a while and snuggle. Just no hack and slash horror flicks; there's enough of that in real life... |

| I want someone who's honest, compassionate, understanding, confident, strong, will admit when he's wrong, and isn't afraid to show or share emotions. I want him to be a bit old-fashioned, opening doors & carrying heavy stuff for me, but also respect me as an equal. In return, I want to spoil him the way he spoils me. I want him to take pride in his work and his appearance, and make efforts to improve as a partner and as a human being. I want him to be proud of me and let me know it by telling me and by taking me out and showing me off. I want to know about his life - his job, his friends and family - not to invade his privacy, but because I truly care and want to know and understand him. I need someone who can either stay calm in my storm or can yell back without being unkind or unfair, cuz honestly, when I'm upset, I'm loud, and sometimes, it just feels a lot better to get some of it out, but I pride myself on my ability to control my temper enough to not say hateful and hurtful things in anger that I'll regret later or that aren't true, just for the sake of scoring "points." I expect the same in return. I expect that he'll at least listen - really listen, not just wait his turn to talk (which is what makes most people poor listeners) - to what I have to say, even if he disagrees, and will respect my right to my opinions and my own perspective. I want someone who can give as well as receive and who is always willing to put 110% into a committed relationship, as I would, no matter what it takes. I want someone who I can be sure of - someone who won't quit or find someone else when things get tough. I need someone I can count on to be there and be able to deal with my periodic moodiness. And he must have a great sense of humor and love animals, especially dogs! |
