I don't know why, but a woman with a pair of glasses gets my attention. Women with contacts will be placed on a brief probationary period. I was going to say a nice "pair" gets my attention, but that was too much for even my sense of humor. ;)
At different times in my life I've been a vegetarian, a motorcycle rider, a boy scout, a political protester, a near professional level cello player, a Shaolin Kung Fu student, and a ham radio operator. I'm an electronic technician by trade, love to learn, and am a voracious reader.
I don't watch a lot of TV, but I do enjoy "This Old House", PBS science, nature, and cooking shows, the History and Discovery channels, and most Sci-Fi shows. My musical tastes run the gamut from eclectic to jazz to 80s New Wave to classical - Mannheim Steamroller, Phillip Glass, Beethoven, Return to Forever, and most Techno/Industrial. My culinary tastes lean towards asian food - Thai and Indian in particular, but I love good BBQ too. I'm handy with tools, have fixed my plumbing, car, TV/stereo, repaired the shingles on my roof, and there is not a single clock in my house that is constantly flashing 12:00. I like astronomy, computers, bird watching, museums, science fiction, and hiking.
I have a very silly sense of humor and love to cuddle, hold hands, and give/receive massages, which I'm told I'm quite good at. I have an empty spot in my life that yearns to be filled by you. |

Realistically, I recognize a first date with someone met on the internet would be just making sure the other person matches up to what they describe in their profile - some chai at Starbucks, or a drink after work. I admit I did meet up with someone on a first date at a McDonalds once (her choice).
A good first "real" date should include good food (I like asian, but would like to try your favorites), some entertainment like a movie, a concert, museums, music festival, or amusement park (I'm kind of partial to Rye Playland). One thing to note - I am pretty shy at first, but warm up as I get to know you, so please don't think I'm not interested in you. |
