Hi there. I'm a 36 year old separated father in South Jersey wading into the dating waters after 14 years. If I seem a little rusty in my profile, you should hear me squeak when I walk!
I am bald because I prefer to shave my head. I enjoy the way the air feels on my head and it helps on those days when I'd otherwise be pulling my hair out (not to mention, I never have bad hair days, hat-hair or bed-head).
Being a bald-headed train operator naturally lead to my online nickname, NJSmoothOperator. I'd rather you not get the wrong impression that I'm suave and debonair. I'm much more like a real-life version of Doug from King of Queens.
I have a daughter from my (only) marriage (we are separated, and going through a very civil divorce process - no crazy ex's or emotional damage) and she is my top priority. If you hate kids, I'm not the match for you (being a Big Kid myself, that's pretty important to get out of the way).
I'm currently living with my father, electing not to live in the house (where the sound of my children playing used to fill the rooms) while we prepare it for sale, and since my mother died of cancer in December, Dad could frankly use the company. Once the house is sold and I'm no longer paying a mortgage, I'll be getting an apartment. Better for me to get that out front, since a woman who can't understand the circumstances wouldn't be a good match for me anyway.
My work schedule is somewhat restrictive. As a Rookie operator, I get the shifts that roll downhill. I said SHIFTS... with an F. =)
Weekends are typically work days for me, while I usually get two weekdays off. I tend to work nights or overnights while the operators who actually consider me young have the cushy day jobs. Hey, they earned it.
